Dexcom G7

The support form in the app and the one on the website have issues. The chat form only allows six digits for the serial number. The web form will not accept input into the City and Zip Code fields, both in the app and on the web. I have been reporting these issues for a year. To report a failed sensor I need to phone or chat, as I am unable to complete the other forms. Otherwise the app is amazingly useful.

My notifications just randomly stop working with the app. I leave it running in the background, all my notifications are turned on to go off regardless if my phone isn’t being used. I’m not getting critical alerts at all.

The G7 sensor/app is beyond horrible. Currently it’s giving a reading of 53, I checked my sugar and it’s 115. Used it as a calibration and it says it’s unable to use as calibration. It was calibrating for 8 days and wouldn’t let me use an updated number, uninstalled/installed the app and it at least got rid of the 8 day calibration and give 5 minutes to accept (or whatever it said). Now that I can put my checks in, it refuses to use them. Of the 3 or 4 I’ve used so far, 2 have quit working a couple days before they were set to be changed. Made a call after the first one and was told the old sensor has to be at least 20 feet away from the new sensor. I wasn’t aware of that and had it next to me when I changed and it was still reading the old sensor even though that one was removed from the app. Sorry this is confusing, I’m beyond frustrated with this stupid sensor. Only nice things is that it’s slimmer and one piece instead of two like the G6 (give me the slightly larger, two piece that worked!!!).

Thinking about going back to just finger sticks or switching to Freestyle. Needs a lot calibration, so much that I do not trust sensor/app readings and much of the time calibration is unavailable. Sometimes it’s accurate, but a lot of the time it’s incredibly inaccurate. App says I’m at 62 but meter says 112. Just going by the way I feel is more accurate. DO NOT TRUST YOUR HEALTH OR LIFE WITH DEXCOM G7.

I had the g6 loved it but I have had 298 blood stick reading the Dexcom said I was 52 blood reading of 309 sensor connection was lost I get one bottle of strips because my insurance doesn’t think I need more then one because of the Dexcom and “how well it works” well it doesn’t I maybe called two times on the G6 well I can promise you I have called more then that on this stupid thing and let me tell you I am so in pleased with this thing if I could go back Amin time and make it where I had g6 for the rest of my life I would I didn’t give a rats butt it care about the size of it, but they where so worried about the size they stopped caring about the people that use it !!!!!!! All the ladies will agree with me when I say size doesn’t matter as long as your good with what you got they ain’t worth the time space or energy and AM TELLING MY DOCTOR TO CHANGE MY CGM! I never wanna deal with Decxom again ya’ll call center is amazing! You as a company S U C K!!!!!! You promised us 14 days on one CGM no 10 days with 12 hrs grace period YOU ALSO PROMISED A WORKING CGM BUT SEE HOW THAT GOES???!!!???!?!?! Dont get me started on HOW it tries to kill you by saying your low when your actually high and high when your actually low that keeps happening to me and the adhesive is so poor that they give you a overlay patch in the box cuz they know it’s so bad on top of that I keep having problems with them popping off I sweaer they do NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER

I absolutely hate having this app on my phone. It is a constant distraction and I have adjusted everything to silent and it still goes off during class. I would have this app removed and just utilize my insulin pump connecting to my g7 if I did not have hovering individuals always watching my sugars.

Why on earth would you not allow us to silence this app overnight!? Fix this ridiculous oversight and I'll give 5 stars.

Can you add a dark mode please

When it says to log in again (no reason given why) and you tap on the bar to log in, it just takes you back to the screen that says to log in. It does not let you log in. Should say why to log in again. With the g6 you can move your finger over the graph and get readings and time at any point. G7 will not do this. Makes no sense that this graph technology feature was not transferred over to G7.
