DNS Benchmark+ finds the DNS resolver that genuinely performs best for you — on your current Wi-Fi, cellular, or VPN connection — by measuring what users actually experience, not just DNS reply speed.

**What makes DNS Benchmark+ different**

Most DNS tools only measure how fast a resolver replies to a DNS query. DNS Benchmark+ goes further: it measures the real endpoints those replies point to. If a fast resolver sends you to a distant CDN node, it's not actually fast for you. DNS Benchmark+ measures both, then ranks resolvers by what matters.

**Comprehensive testing**

• UDP, DNS-over-TLS (DoT), DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH), and DNSCrypt resolvers — all supported
• Real CDN endpoint probing: TCP and TLS latency to actual IPs returned
• Globally-representative CDN test domains
• DNS latency, jitter, and P99 — not just averages
• Concurrent testing of many resolvers simultaneously
• Per-run history with iCloud sync across all your devices

**Security & privacy diagnostics**

• DNSSEC validation — confirms resolver validates signatures and blocks spoofed records
• NXDOMAIN hijack detection — identifies resolvers that redirect failed lookups to ad pages
• ECS detection — checks if resolver sends client hints for optimal CDN routing
• Bogus record blocking — confirms resolver rejects invalid DNSSEC responses
• Resolver identity via CHAOS and NSID queries

**Configurable scoring**

DNS Benchmark+ uses a weighted scoring system you can tune:
• Endpoint speed (TCP/TLS latency to real IPs)
• DNS speed (raw query latency)
• Reliability (success rate, rcode quality)
• Stability (jitter and P99 consistency)
• Locality (geographic proximity of returned endpoints)

Adjust weights in Settings → Score Weights and save custom presets.

**Powerful and configurable**

• Add any resolver: IPv4/IPv6, tls://,  sdns:// DNSCrypt stamps
• Configure test domains, concurrency, timeouts, and probe depth
• Per-category iCloud sync — control what syncs between your devices
• Run history with export and iCloud sync
• Share results as formatted text

**Privacy**

All DNS benchmarking runs on your device. DNS queries go directly to each resolver under test. Approximate geolocation uses ipinfo.io. Run history is stored locally and optionally in your private iCloud account.
