I wanted to love this so much, and may still in the future if another linking service is used. Plaid is not working properly and my accounts aren’t found or won’t stay linked.

I would like to start with saying that I paid for the year already. I cannot connect to my account. On top of that, it is not good at tracking my spending or income. Would not recommend the app, especially if you plan on paying.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it wont link my bank account as well as just straight up not letting me put in my basic information like first and last name, but yea looks like it would be good if it would work oh and yes I got the premium

Hammer industries... 
First of all, great app.
Decent UI. 
So much better at categorizing vs other apps. 

Secondly. Whatever team is in charge of writing the backend code with the plaid api…. Dear god… it’s so glitchy. Plaid shows > login > choose account > login to set account > … so far so good. 

Data obtained. Buggy
Account kept on connected accounts. Very buggy. 

An issue that is not in your control. Apple Card and plaid are not friends. Reach out to Apple /GS and see what can be done to connect the Apple Card. 

UI team. When I click on accounts assuming dev teams fixes it. 
It should be categorized 
Credit cards 
Loans 
Personal loans 
Car loans 
Mortgage
Student loans
(Whatever order you deem fit) 
Show only if connected and used. 

Thirdly. I need to get on the show. 
My finances are a mess.

The idea and concept is there, and I love supporting his channel, but this app is way too buggy to pay the price for. My “budgets” keep resetting, and the headache is just not worth it. Hold off on buying until he gives more updates on how he’s making this better.

Price seems high for the number of issues I experienced. There are a lot of bugs that need to be worked out. Has potential - Maybe I’ll give it another go later and edit this review, but I can’t give it more than a 2-star for now.

After watching Financial Audit I was looking forward to using this app. Unfortunately the app requires connecting to your accounts using the PLAID service that has not worked for me. I paid 90$ for the subscription and reached out multiple times to simpler budget support for help so I could use the app. I have not received a reply and no assistance they just took my money.

I love the way the app looks and enjoyed it for about a 3 days when the app did work. Then notice my spending wasn’t updating even with it linked to my account. So during the last week of the trial it was about a week behind. I would have kept the app if it worked the way it should. Decided to keep using the rocket money and cancel simpler budget. I email support a few time but haven’t received a reply. I’m willing to re-download the app once it starts working. Wished this app worked 😭

Overall the app is simple and easy to use. As id expect from something named simpler budget. But the issues I have are with the bugs. After connecting my account the app recognizes I have it connected but doesn’t show it within my profile. Not a huge issue because it is working but also a bit annoying that it’s still showing I need to add one.

Also when crafting my budget. I am having an unpleasant time to getting some bills and utilities to stick to their categories and have the app recognize them. I was able to have it work for some but not all of them. Unfortunately I can’t see myself using this app if I can’t get it to work properly.

I think the app is great even in the free version. I just wished there was an option to copy or keep the same budget every month to avoid creating a new budget every beginning of the month.

I’ve tried several times to link my bank account and it won’t link.  Have sent emails to the support department with no response.  Sent message on chat with no response.   Waste of my money.

I downloaded it from one of those first month free of sub and all the fun features and then pay after that month. When I logged in it never showed I had a subscription and never let me use anything past the free application. I then deleted the account since it didn’t have a subscription set up and I was then later charged after my account was deleted?? And when I go to log back in to figure out what’s wrong guess whose account was deleted? So it says I don’t have a subscription and I paid $15 for something I don’t even get to use the benefits of. Sure it’s great just haven’t even gotten to use it.

I love Caleb’s show but this app would be amazing if it didn’t have so many glitches. Glitch 1: it signs me out all the time and then sometimes doesn’t let me sign back in for a day. Glitch 2: consistently have to check my budget amounts because they don’t calculate correctly. Glitch 3: the rules that I set up don’t work. I have to submit them multiple times.

I understand to start there is a $7 trial fee. The UI is basic and easy to use. 
Every time I sign into the app, I then need to reconnect my bank account for it to analyze anything. 
I then went to sign up for a course and that one course at the "member price" is $177?! The point of this is to help people who are bad with money, and then you get strung along with a entry fee which is a manageable price to then be met with almost $200 in order to learn how to "save money..." Way to sucker people man, smh

Unfortunately this just won’t be the app for me, my Sam’s club account will not link up, I’ve tried multiple times, different days. And I do a lot of spending on that card for groceries gas and ordering food. It’s a big part of my budget.

A little disappointing how much is behind a paywall. Other budgeting apps will connect with your banks and cards for free which gives a better understanding of your spending and budgeting. I think coming from a company that claims to prioritizes helping those with financial security, it’s honestly a little sad to see how expensive all of their resources are.

Not as intuitive as Mr hammer claims it is on his podcast,but it can be a useful tool in the right hands. It’s a bit confusing at first as nothing really shows you how anything on the app works. The “cash flow” category just seemingly spits out a random number. It tells me I have no accounts linked yet when I clearly do. My weekly income from my full time job isn’t catagorized as “income” and I have to change that every time I get paid. I don’t know if this is a Navy fed issue or not. 

I’m aware that the app is somewhat new so I’m willing to work past these issues in the meantime especially with being a fan of the show. I feel the app definitely needs further improvement if you want it to actually help people who struggle to navigate their finances. As it stands now I have an easier time navigating my finances than I do understanding how this app works. $15 is also a hard ask if im being honest…
