eero Wi-Fi system

Why? Basic functionality. Add this.

New eero app design is just terrible. And I have to relearn how to use (utility!!) app.

Too little software features, for even the latest Eero Router product - Eero Max 7 model. Even the basic speed test in the app (to measure the direct connection values, from the telco, directly), is not working at all. My gut feelings, tell me that the hardware capabilities of this, is way overrated (from marketing), than what it truly can do - which is likely further confirmed, with poor software features, that likely is trying to hide its weak hardware capabilities, accordingly, as well (other than perhaps having a weak software “team”, to create enough “proper” features, for it, that is perhaps on other devices, on the market, accordingly (such as Asus brands). Very basic features, such as the option to split the various WiFi bands (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz), into multiple “WiFi” SSiD “channels”, and perhaps the more “advanced”options, to manually change the WiFi channel settings, in general, or for each connected device, manually, is non-existent. The only reason why I got this Router, is because it is the “cheapest”, “most basic” and only router, for the capabilities for my current Home Broadband plan, that my telco, is only having, as the option for the router that comes with it.

Blocking of Wi-fi bands, forced downloading of user app for configuration for data harvesting. I really love to surrender my data just so that I can change my wifi-name

Took four hours to set up. Had to delete network and start again twice. And I have a MBA.

Release Mac app asap. Would be neat to have a large widget to turn off internet access without having to go to app. Needs some type of live traffic viewing input / output.

App badge notifications are useless (making them idiotic). The counter shows alerts and, 100% OF THE TIME, when I attempt to view the notification there is NOTHING to view. This problem was never addressed/fixed yet is a glaring, significant design flaw reported by many users. Do the developers not care? Can’t they figure out how to fix this? Apathy, pure apathy. Turned off badge count notifications.

Looked like there is a sub cost, but app doesn’t let you read it. Time will tell, and this may end up going back.

I have many eeros throughout my house along with extenders. If u run a synology nas server, whenever eero has an update, you will lose connectivity to quickconnect and have to physically power down the nas and turn it back on. Horrible if you're on vacation and need access to your nas when the update takes place. It needs a subscription to use it. That's not cool at all. I have arlo cams by my garage along with two eero units in the garage. It takes four minutes after a camera trigger to get to my phone. Isn't that terrible?
