Eggggg is a ridiculous two-button platform game where you propel yourself around using your vomiting superpowers. Gilbert has an extreme allergy to eggs, and eating them will literally make him vomit like a fountain. He escapes from his mean Aunt Doris in order to get to a birthday party, and needs to use his vomiting superpower to survive in a world of angry cyborg chickens... of course.

Controls
If you're looking for just another normal platformer, this is not it. But if you're looking for a really fun and quirky experience, and enjoy a good challenge - give it a go! The controls are simple to use but hard to master. Once you get the hang of it, they offer really great and accurate control.

I have doubts about this being a review. I have not yet finished the game, thus I cannot present this as an overarching critique of the game itself. What this is, is a summary of my first forty minutes with the game, which, when we're talking about apps, is a fine amount of time to get one's thoughts out, so here we go.
The game begins with a thin semblence of what you might call plot. I call it nothing, because there's barely any. The gist is the following: you're a boy, who has to escape from things via puke. Puke, mind you, that comes from his insides in a seemingly limitless supply. It is just cartooney enough to not be absolutely horrific.
After the shock of the idea itself fades, you are intoduced to the gameplay, which puts an interesting new spin on traditional platformer mechanics.
Our hero (boy, from now on) runs automatically, and what we control is his direction, wether that be up, right or left. This seemingly simple scheme is complicated by the precise nature of everything, as there isn't a clinging feature (well, not the type you'd find in super mario run). Your jumps are where it's at: if you miss, you miss, no inbetween.
All is not lost, though, as you do stick to any and all walls, thus are quickly able to recover from any minor mistakes you've made.
The list of things to do is everexpanding: you will find new types of puke along the way, such as one that lets you stick to all surfaces for an indefinite amount of time, and also little extra abilities, such as flying in certain sections of certain stages.
The visual style makes this game. It is wonderful to look at, but not overcrowded in it's presentation: you always know where you can, can't, should or shouldn't go. Clear, simple, stylised and not 16 bit (not necessarily a good thing, but due to the saturation with them on the market right now, it comes as a breath of fresh air).
It's a technological marvel as well. Pristine high definition, and a framerate that, to my knowledge never drops and is very satisfying for the eye (even though it might not be 60 fps).
Overall, this game knows what it wants to be, and delivers, delivers oh so much. I amn't sure of the cost, since I downloaded it while free, but a 5-6 dollar asking price is still something I'd be willing to pay for such a neatly tied up little game. One for the books.
