Which is just unusable. Having come over from Plex where this worked amazingly well its a crying shame. I really like the idea of Emby but this along with the state of the appletv app being so behind in features I would let Emby bake another 3-5 years. Btw. This CarPlay issues was reported like 3 years ago and the response is still " we are looking into it" That is just not good enough. I work in software development and we would have hotfixed this in a matter of weeks. Let's be honest though. It should never have been released in its current state. Poor QA. I do not understand people taking issue with paying a subscription, the apps and servers are constantly being updated with new features and the subscription goes to pay for that. Do people expect them to be updated for ever, for nothing? I don’t know. Yet, on my Samsung device, these hevc files play with no issues. My iPad is up to date with iOS 13.3 and I do not know what else to do? All forums, Google and Apple site say iPad Pro should direct play hevc files. Have tried Plex, Kodi, Serviio, Mezzmo and this, looking for a simple flat file structure not eating up disc space with gimcrack poster titles etc, and the winner so far is Kodi, despite it’s annoying habit of overscanning my Panasonic plasma.
