## Eventail Description
Eventail is the missing calendar widget for your iPhone.

Eventail brings two nifty calendar widgets:

- A week widget that can display from 3 to 7 upcoming days in a very compact manner.
- A day widget which can display either today's or tommorrow's events.

What makes eventail special?

- The widgets have pages, put multiple copies in a stack and you can scroll on hour homescreen! Ingenious!
- Both widgets are fully themable with custom colors, backgrounds and provide several styles of event displays.
- The larger sizes of the day widget provide shortucts to do more than just look at the even titles.

Eventail integrates with many apps on your device: you can open events in a calendar app, join meetings in video-conferencing apps, open navigation to your destination, and more.

Your whole week of events is just one swipe over to the today home screen, and it’s compact and well featured. The interactive mode allows you to quickly open an event in a favorite calendar app, navigate to a location, and open an event url. Eventail is a great widget companion to other full-featured calendar apps.

The legacy calendar widget had everything I wanted in a calendar widget with the weekly events view and long term upcoming events. 

At first the widgets did not appear in the widget list but they appeared after restarting my phone so it might have been an iOS issue.

App seemed promising, so I thought I’d try the free version. Downloaded it and went through all the settings, added calendars, etc. But I couldn’t find how to “ add widget” like the instructions said and widget never showed up on the home or widget screen. I really like this app, when I use it in the widget section. However, it’s a crap shoot as to whether it will actually show me my calendar or not. Sometimes it’s there, but most times it’s not. I have to uninstall it, reinstall it, and it will work for a while. Sometimes I don’t do anything and it is there, then unable to load and then it’s back. I wish the programmers would fix this already because it really is a nice app.

Update:  I just updated my iOS to the latest version as of Dec 2019 and it is working again. If it remains stable I will update again and give the 5 stars it deserves.

### ***** "A must-have utility"
I mostly use eventail for its calendar functionally, and it has single-handedly saved me from being late more times than I can count. The ability to see your schedule for the day at a glance and with so little effort is incredibly convenient and makes it easy to keep track of when my next meetings are at work. The app is also highly customizable, so I only see calendar events I actually care about. 

I highly recommend this app to anyone that uses a calendar.

As a side note, the developer is also very active and addresses bugs pretty quickly. When iOS 13 came out, something about the OS broke widgets, and there were half a dozen updates that came out to address the issue (to the best of the developer’s ability) until it was finally fixed, which is great!

Been using this for sometime now. And until recently I have been very happy. For some reason, the widgets only say unable to load. Not sure what is going on? But maybe upgrade to iOS 13.2.3?

Edit 2019-11-14: 
I see a number of reviews indicating that the widget does not work. That *was* the case, but the developer was able to get that fixed in one of the recent releases. Now the widget has been rock solid. This widget has been something I depend on throughout the day to quickly and easily see what's coming up in my day and week. The Pro features have been absolutely worth it for the added functionality. I've got apps on my phone that I rarely interact with. This app/widget is the opposite. Not a day goes by that I don't make use of it.

### **--- "Only Works Sometimes? UPDATE 2"
I found this app/widget while watching a video about iPad productivity tools and thought it looked great.  After downloading I set up for a three day view, tied it to 4 of my calendars and pinned it to the top of the widget favorites.

I love seeing the next three days in an easy to read yet small widget.  Unfortunately it only shows my appointments some of the time.  I have played with the settings, deleted and re-installed and reassigned the calendars but the appointments disappear intermittently.

Hopefully there is an easy fix to this frustrating problem.  If I find it, I will change my rating to 4 stars.

UPDATE - After updating the app to version 2019.14 I no longer have the issue with appointments disappearing.  I’d like to see some more options for appearance settings in future updates. I have updated from 2 stars to 4.

UPDATE 2 - After Apple pushed iPadOS 13.2 my events appear only some of the time.  I can no longer count on the app to work so I have deleted.  I wish I would have stuck with the free version.
