## Files Description
Access and organise your files no matter where they’re located — on your device, in the cloud, on an external drive or file server— with Files. The Recents view displays the files you’ve been working on lately in high-resolution thumbnails. Use the powerful Browse view to navigate folders, organise your files with tags, move files between folders and search. Files also makes it easy to access iCloud Drive and third-party cloud storage services such as Dropbox, Box and OneDrive.

• Press the Files icon in the Dock or Home screen to quickly open a file from anywhere

• Connect an external drive or SD card to your device to access the files

• Connect to a file server at work or a home PC using SMB from Files.

• Use tags to organise files stored with different cloud providers and across different apps.

• Pin your favourite folders in Browse view for quick access to the ones you use most.

Even when “Show Content In Search” is turned off, individual files still turn up when you search for apps. Apple only seems to be interested in how their os look, nevermind the bugs they introduce along the way. I write this here because despite feedback through their other channels, they seem to have no intention to fix any of their bugs, as long as the glass is glossy enough who cares.

As with others who have used it. I've wasted hours of work done due to the app crashing and no auto saving sometimes. Please do not do your work, write notes or annotations on this app if you don't want to cry. it works for renaming files, moving files and viewing. But not do anything more.

i am a student, and i gotten my personal learning device about 5 months ago, on my ipad gen 10 files app i couldnt help but realise that it would keep restarting, turning into a white screen and deleting the notes i wrote, which really frustrates me.

After a certain update, the files app keeps crashing by itself randomly and removes all traces of work done that has not been saved. It is very annoying as it is very troublesome to redo everything. Also when writing or typing the app tends to start lagging out and makes it more difficult to write properly. Please fix this.

When I open a file in the ‘file’ app and edit it using Apple Pencil, no matter whether it is PDF or image, after writing and if I press the screen or zoom, the file will refresh automatically and leave my new edit unsaved. Initially I thought only my iPad had this problem but after trying other iPads, it turns out that this is a common problem with the 12.9 inches iPad. This is very disturbing. This is just one of numerous bugs in the software. The file app on 12.9 inches iPad Pro is generally poorly optimized. Apart from this, the window also shifts from place to place when i save downloaded files.
