Basic shoot 'em up, a lot of fun, but ...
One of my favorite games, highly recommended. Shoot cartoonish alien enemies before they shoot you. Colorful graphics and silly sounds. Different types of enemy than usual arcade sorts; snail and bug like. Only trouble is it takes a long time to acquire points needed for upgrades, without upgrades you do poorly. Three different landscapes and difficulty levels. Various "missions" to run and an additional monster round (watch for the black cloud). You get rewards for goals reached. Level one makes sense and plays well, you earn as you go. Levels two and three are like hitting yourself with a hammer. It costs too much to buy a helmet so it take months of hard and steady work to eventually get the weapons you need to fight decently. Gimpy Smith says this is worth it.
