It’s like having x-ray vision. I can find wall studs with super accuracy. My daughter’s room just flooded and I can see where the water is in the carpet. Most importantly, when I was looking for water ingress I noticed that the electric cables in the walls were hot even though nothing was plugged into the attached power outlets. This is a new house because our old one burnt down because of an electrical fault in a lamp. Needless to say, I was terrified but thrilled to be able to turn off the circuit and take the heat out of the wires until we can get an electrician. This thing is so cool.

DO NOT BUY. THEY'LL UPGRADE THE APP AND YOUR PLUG-IN DEVICE WILL BECOME AN EXPENSIVE BRICK!
I'm in an industry where a thermal camera is a very useful tool. So when I became aware of the Flir One, I saved up and eventually got mine.
I  did not have the problems others describes and used the camera attachment on 3 different iPhones.

Until V4.xx was released!!!
Now the APP simply tells me my plug-in camera is NOT compatible. No explanation, I just can not use it any longer.

At least other companies (with similar business models) who upgrade their APPs out of old hardware's reach, have had the decency to make an alternative APP available to support older devices still held by clients who handed over their cash which enabled them to be in this position in the first place.

Very poor style FLIR.

No zoom
Temp measurement sometimes barely visible

The mandatory overlay is not aligned with the IR image and the adjustment slider doesn’t offer enough adjustment. 

I’ve emailed support and they have not provided an answer or solution yet.

Solution would be simple: increase the range of adjustment, perhaps even allow the to just drag the images on top of each other. At the very minimum if you can deliver that, just let us turn off the overlay..
