FRCA Reveal

I have used this for both the primary and final FRCA. It is excellent, a great level of detail, questions very similar to those that came up in the exams. I wouldn’t do an FRCA exam without it. If I could only have one resource I’d choose this.

Used FRCA Reveal app for my FRCA Primary and passed all components first time! It’s such a well written and organised app which is regularly getting updated with new topics and questions. Literally owe all my success to this app! It’s great to use on your own or with other people, especially on lists with consultants who haven’t done any exams in years. Also has a lot of resources for the OSCE too! I recommend this to all of my peers and look forward to using it for my Final!

So I studied for the final written over a six month period using a various resources including the god awful BJA. On exam day, my mind was a jumble and I was certain I failed. When I passed I was beyond surprised and very happy. As I sit now preparing for the SOE I realise I should have just used this for both exams. It seems to cover the whole curriculum and the bits I’m vaguely interested in I can look up if I feel like it. This is a great purchase and has simplified my revision. The creators book “basic physiology for anaesthetists” was invaluable during primary revision. Thanks!

Used the app for the final frca written and soe. Fantastic app. I found it easy to use and the helpful topic layout made for easier recall of information. Also means I could squeeze extra reading and revision in during what otherwise can be dead time like between cases, waiting for handover etc. Quite liked that I could access the primary basic sciences content too as well as the final content off of one purchase even though I was prepping for the final, as it was a good way of revisiting primary stuff. Would definitely recommend it for anyone preparing for the FRCA.

I’ve really enjoyed using this app so far and it’s very easy to navigate. The information is bite size with good diagrams. Some of the hardest topics especially in physics are very well laid out and have made it much easier to learn and understand. Suggestion: please fix your log in system. It logs out and sometimes takes forever to log back in. Having to force the app closed multiple times before it dies. Also please make the app available off line. It would be great to be able to use it on our commute to work and in theatres with very poor signal! Surely there’s a way and not sure why it’s not already as all the content is already there and doesn’t require downloading. Would have given a 5 star otherwise.

I used this mainly for the Final SOE and found it to be very helpful; it covers the breadth of the curriculum including the less common topics and each subject is broken down into bite size chunks making it really easy to use.

Great app. Easy to use, always with you if you install it on your phone. For me was especially handy when revising for my Final SOE and looking after a newborn. Great variety of topics covers even the less common ones.

This app helped me pass my OSCE and SOE at my first attempt. It’s got a healthy bank of OSCE and viva questions with succinct answers phrased in the structure expected for the exam all in one app. You can also download this app on two devices and the interface looks good on both the iPhone and the iPad. I’ve already recommended this to all my colleagues taking the primary OSCE/viva.

I used this to aid my revision for the final FRCA exams. Mainly used for the SOE. This app was handy as all the information came in organised bite sized chunks. It was very handy for fitting revision around work, it was useful to have in theatre for quick on the spot revision.

Covers a large breadth of topics (even the weird ones!). The level of detail is just right to get you through the exam. I would have struggled without this resource!
