Free Tone - Calling & Texting

I paid for this app and once I signed up, my account was flagged and I don’t know what the hell I did and customer service doesn’t wanna tell me what happened and they just keep saying because it’s automatic, we cannot see the reason for the block. We do not have anything further to share at this time. I wanted to request a refund because of this, and this app wasn’t eligible for a refund. So they basically stole my money. This app is highly not recommended and it should be removed from the app store. I will report this app to Apple. Do not download.

The new way they’ve chosen to do ads on the app basically locks the app in place and prevents you from doing anything. The “return to call button” after making a call blocks the X button of the ad so you can’t close it. If you click “return to call” it takes you back to an ended call screen, but the ad then goes along the bottom and blocks the hang up or redial buttons so that you cannot click them. If you hit the messages button on the top left, it takes you back to the ad with the return to call button at the top. It is an endless cycle that is impossible to break. The only way to get out of it is to refresh the app every time an ad comes up. I’m ok with some ads, but this is ridiculous. You need to reduce the amount of ads and make them closeable or else no one will keep using this app. Definitely gone downhill. Please fix ASAP!

This is an update: I have tested the app on a different phone and it appears that outbound communication is still broken. If anyone else can confirm this, please leave a review. Being one of the few people smart enough to keep an old phone handy as well as never updating the app (so my app is, like, half a decade old) I am able to enjoy free-tone with none of the more recent foolishness. However, two days ago, I attempted to reply to a message, and it failed to send. I attempted to reply to another writer, and that failed to send. I attempted to call the first writer and my call would not go through. I then used another burner phone to call my free tone, and the call said the number was temporarily disconnected. However, my free tone phone indicated that a call had been received. I then sent a text to my free-tone phone and it went through, but I was not able to reply to that either. This has been going on since, April 22, 2024. It sounds like a request to fix the app will fall on deaf ears. prove me wrong and I will update this review.

Purchasing the app alone doesn’t allow to get activation codes on your number. I wish this information was clearly communicated before I purchased the app. This is scam please don’t buy

Some time ago, you could earn credits to call and send texts by watching adds. There’s no other way to earn credit now than by buying them. Oh, and you need to text or call once a week to keep your phone number. No longer FreeTone, but PayTone

App stopped working and there is no support even when using premium features at 36.99/mo

the latest update on ios wiped out all of my chats, contacts, and my number no longer works.
