On Nov 27,2024 I went through the detailed step-by-step procedure of erasing and reinstalling Freestyle 2 App, but at the end it was still not working, so I searched Google for an answer, and was shocked by what I discovered, that iPhone NFC does not work on a vast number of iPhones!! With most, their ability to scan stopped working after upgrading their iPhone IOS to a new version, the same as what happened to my phone! It hasn’t been working for 8 months now, and Apple doesn’t seem to care their NFC is not working on MANY of their phones! I don't know who designed this apo, but they're not very good at it. Multiple things need to change for it to be considered "ok". First off you can't check the sugar from multiple devices. It's bad enough we can't use a phone and the reader at the same time, you can't even use different smartphones to monitor the glucose levels. I monitore my father's levels on my phone as he has dementia and he would get upset at me when I'd ask him to check his glycemia before meal times.... So now not only can he no longer have access to the values on his own, when I leave for work, the employes from the CLSC have a hard time with the sensor because I can't leave my phone behind. So I figured : hey I could get an ipad and everyone could check on that when I'm gone... But no, that doesn't work either. Which is a real missed opportunity because it should be possible for me to monitor his glucose levels from work if there's a smart phone or ipad at home that is within range of his freestyle captor.... To top it off, the minyte you get "disconnected" because you're more than 10 feet away, all you can see is a blank screen..... Why can't I still have access to the graph uo until umit was disconnected?? Why does ALL the daily information disappear?? What's up with this? Please FIX these issues!!!! We're approaching 2025 for God's sake!!!! Ya'll need to fix this to make it more usable for people that care for people with diabetes too!!!
