Simplicity
Very easy to use, clear, clean and concise. Backed up my app data from the iPad to Linux first go, all 10gb (4hrs on my routers speed tho ;). This app works and does what 12 other apps and 2 OS’s couldn’t do!

Thank you for your contribution. This app is really easy to use and only takes 1mb. Amazing! I met a problem which the file couldn’t be transferred when the file name contained Chinese or Japanese characters. I’ve googled this issue and it said the reason could be related to UTF-8. Could you fix it? Once again, thank you so much for your great app!
Update: Restart your phone to see the GoFTP folder in the native files app. This is the simplest and best functioning ftp server app for iPhone. Thank you!
For transferring files between my Linux pc and iPhone this is great. A little opaque at first but fast and easy once you figure it out. (Which is easy) All you need is this app and the Files app on your phone, and filezilla on your computer. Put the files you want to xfer in the goftp folder in the Files app. Then move them over with filezilla. To get your pics over in jpeg, copy then to clipboard then paste in files app. The names get changed. But no biggie. There’re no ads and no evident hooks, traps, or fine print.
Developer replied to my review where I was frustrated that there seemed to be no way to bring existing files into the app to serve. There's now (or was?) a folder in the iOS Files app, that holds the files from the FTP server. Adding a file there makes it available in the server, and uploading files to the server puts them in that folder. Nice! Could use some documentation or info to that effect, instead of a totally bleached blank user interface :) but it works once you know!
I can't believe how easy and straightforward it is to use this little FTP server. I love that the developer creates a folder in the "on my iPhone" location within the Files app. It became very obvious that that's where the FTP root is. The application supports the FTP protocol through a browser as well as traditional terminal command line. You can use the FTP command within terminal with all the traditional put, get, ASCII, bin, hash, mkdir, and so on commands.A powerful little program.
