Good Air uses the National AQI methodology published by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the same 0 to 500+ scale used across Indian air quality dashboards. The numbers you see match what the rest of India sees.

Good Air is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CPCB or any Government of India agency.

SIX POLLUTANTS, EXPLAINED
- PM2.5, fine particles from vehicles, crop burning, industry
- PM10, dust, construction, road pollution
- NO2, traffic and combustion
- SO2, industrial emissions
- O3 (Ozone), a secondary pollutant, worse in summer heat
- CO, incomplete combustion

DATA SOURCES
Air quality data is sourced from publicly available readings published by CPCB, AirNet and Aurassure via the Open Air Quality (OAQ) India network. Weather and geocoding are provided by Open-Meteo. Full details are inside the app under More, Data Sources. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

IMPORTANT
AQI values reflect the nearest available public monitoring station, which may be several kilometres from your exact location. Good Air is an information app. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

Can you add day-wise AQI trend? I’m wondering what I saw for my area was higher than today or lower. Also, I can plan non important tasks when the AQI is low during a specific period of day.

Just installed the app and looks clean and to the point. So well done. But I have given permission to location while using only and this led to few observations. Unless I close and reopen the app, it keeps showing old data even with given permission. Clicking on widget to open the app also doesn't reflect new location, it needs app close and reopen. Please fix this.
