Unbeatable!
This magazine is absolutely amazing! It's the only one I look forward to receiving each month. Full of invaluable advice on technique, including video content, when setting up shots, whether using speedlights or studio lighting. This mag has given me the inspiration and confidence to set up my own studio, which I now run as a business. Well worth the subscription.
App appears to be abandoned.
The app doesn’t work on the current iOS version and the developer can’t be contacted. Seems to have been abandoned. Edit: the developer has kindly reached out and explained that the app is being updated. Now 5 stars because the magazine itself is great. Thanks.
Good Light Magazine
Michael has done a great job with this publication. The articles are written in an easy style which makes the ideas and suggestions simple to follow for beginners and experienced photographers alike. While the techniques are concerned mainly with the use of speedlights, the principles are equally applicable to owners of budget studio lighting setups such as myself. A hi spec speedlight is very costly and my studio lighting setup only cost slightly more than a top of the range Canon speedlight. I have now subscribed to the magazine and look forward to the next issue.
Good light
I have found the magazine to be a great source of information and inspiration, I use it on my iPhone and it's great to have as a quick reference guide when out taking images. I love the simple and uncomplicated approach, of the tutorials.

No nonesense advice
Incredible value for such a professionally produced magazine. Michael isn't trying to promote himself or any products. He is just giving you sensible advice and tuition, using simple equipment, that most of us can actually afford!
