My team uses this for work.  Over the last six months, it has become the bane of my existence.  

My team works in different time zones so by the time I get up some of them have been working for 2 to 3 hours 

I used to open up my chat and be able to see condensed activity

But now, if I have new messages, every single one shows up, and I have to go into every single one to show it being read.  

That can literally mean instead seeing that team one has new messages and team two has new messages….

I wake up to over 300 new messages that are all listed individually in my chat message And none of them go away as new until I go into each of them.  This is useless to me go back to condensing conversation into groups and individuals
