The app keeps showing me news from the US even when I’m not living in the US nor am I a citizen of the US. I’m nowhere near the US. Setting the region doesn’t help, I selected Malaysia as my home region and I still get these news from the US. Trying to hide all the US news providers is pointless since there’s thousands of them. How is this app this bad?

I read my daily news from this app. Unfortunately, there is no option of Malay language (bahasa Melayu) available in the settings. Google should have added the Malay news also because much of the news in Malaysia are in Malay. Furthermore, Malaysia's official language is Malay, so Malay should have been prioritized in the news more than any other language in my opinion.

I wish i can have some kind of ‘folder’ or bookmark for save late function. And make it easier to read it back. I dont think it will use too much resource/gui space.

Every time I scroll through the news and then turn my phone screen off or go to another app and then when I return back to google news the app refreshes and I’m back at the top of the feed. This also happens when I’m halfway through an article, when I turn screen back on or go back to google news it exits that article I was reading and goes back to the top of the news feed. It’s pretty annoying cause I have to keep scrolling through to get to where I was at.
