The Original Hanalei River Gauge App! Our app allows anyone to quickly check the USGS river gauge height during heavy rains on Kaua'i. We also provide quick access to Hanalei Initiative's road camera so you can see if the road is open to traffic. We now provide easy access to all Kaua'i River Gauges on island.
Exciting new features coming soon:

Seems to kick off-line during weather events. We are in a Flash Flood Warning right now and the app has not updated for 1 1/2 hours.  Not reliable 😩

The app displays USGS gauge 16103000, which is somewhat upstream from the Hanalei bridge. If the intention is to monitor conditions at the bridge, that gauge is 16104200.
This app is a good beginning, but it would be far more useful if it also displayed data from other sources, such as HDOT road closure notices, NOAA flood warnings, etc.
