Heritage Auctions

It is a quick reference guide but My Collection and Live Auction options are missing unfortunately.

They take 7-14 days to ship by their own admission, but I read much longer for many. They do not tell you that though until after you win an auction. If you contact them it says it can take two weeks to even get a reply. I wonder if this operation is really just a couple guys working out of a garage. This is way too slow. I complained about it and was told if I send them $30 more, I can get it sent out quicker. That felt like extortion. I won’t buy from them again. I hope I get my item someday…

The application has issues

When you open the form for live auctions, you are presented with a "acknowledge these conditions" statement. That's fairly standard. What is poorly done is that the button to acknowledge the conditions falls directly over the "bid" button. So if you accidentally hit the acknowledge button twice with your finger, you have just bid on the current item. I can't understand how this got past testing.

heritage auctions is a machine, and not in a good way. when it comes to coins, generally the quality is lower and the prices are higher than other auction houses. that’s ok, caveat emptor. you decide on your bids. what is disappointing is the customer service. you are treated very poorly. you are a number. your role, whether buying or selling, is to make them money.

Love this phone App. It allows me to interact with Heritage auctions. I can track my bids very easily.

The functions in the app are great. How the app functions on an iPhone vs a desktop/laptop is lacking. For example, just trying to scroll through lots in an auction the list gets stuck on one item & won’t scroll through to the rest of the lots. Second, when adding filters in a search you can make all of the filter adjustments in one screen. It keeps on reverting back to all of the filter categories. So if I want to look at baseballs in an auction after looking at bats, I have to uncheck bats , revert to the previous screen, go back in, and then check balls. You should be able to check-uncheck in the same screen.

Easy to use for a retired non-tech guy; and lets me know immediately if I have been outbid.

Very intuitive, and easy to navigate. Wonderful to use. And heritage staff was super helpful.

Up to 3 weeks to get something you paid a lot of money for is simply unacceptable period. There needs to be much faster shipping for anything over $500 or even a $1000 but to have to wait that long is unheard of in this day in age.
