To my horror I realized that this app chooses to store your files automatically in the cloud without warning. The only way around it is to turn off iCloud. Worse yet, if you care about privacy and have your iCloud Drive off it stores your files locally, but once you turn it on in your user settings, the app chooses to automatically upload all your writings to some server, somewhere on this planet without warning...lol. So if you care about your next novel or letters or whatever you choose....stay away from this overly „convenient“ app.

* Developer response says no not true. App user response is yes true. So you can turn it off in the iCloud settings, but there is no warning, no message pointing this out to you. I just reinstalled the app to make sure. If you are unaware, the app just does what ever it sees fit with your documents. Sorry not good enough. The app assumes we are all ok with working with the cloud. I‘m not.

On the home page it says tap the body of the document, but that has no effect. Actually I was looking for a simple distraction free writing app, not one where internet research is required to use it. I was prepared to pay a few $ for reliable intuitive usability. Now I cannot use the app despite research.

Cheap, reliable, is developing, no Abo. Just a always expanding tool, i close to never use it ... but that’s apples fault. Could I replace apple notes default, i would use this app.

Apple is a real pain nowadays only pulling sticks between developers and customers - no support just making money!
