Thanks to the Dev for this wonderful FT8 App. Plugged loaded it on my iPad, plugged in my QMX, turned VOX on and off it went! Really impressed, lovely waterfall on a 11.9” iPad Pro! Only point and as previously mentioned it would be great if it set the transmit frequency automatically when responding to a CQ. 73 de G4KCM
Off to a great start
I was very pleased to find a simple to use FT8/FT4 app for iOS.
This app works well with my QDX and QMX transceivers and my iPhone.
Occasionally I find that my callsign is logged instead of the station worked and zero report logged. Could be driver error.
Would be perfect if a SOTA reference could be added in the exchange.
Thanks Christoph!
App currently not reliable enough to use
Despite initial good communication I have had zero replies to my emails asking when the app will be updated so it is functional, you have not replied Chris but replied to someone else’s feedback on here. After I messaged you , please update the app and make it usable
FT8/4
Impressive! Have been using FT8d but this app has better display AND waterfall. Just been decoding a string of Ws etc on 10 metres with short wire antenna and FT817 on desk and speaker to mic only. Can’t wait to try vox tx.

Great ft8 app
Enjoying this app, minimal in terms of operation but that’s not a bad thing. My only gripe is that when you answer a call it won’t transmit on the sender’s frequency unless you manually adjust it first by using the waterfall, maybe something that could be addressed in an update.
So far not sure
I downloaded the app I can not get past putting in my call sign. I enter it and hit save it tells me “ enter call sign’ I’m stuck how to move forward. I click support and nothing comes up. Trying to find a email to ask for guidance. Can’t wait to use this. Once I get pass this problem.
FT8 in your pocket
Worked well. Easy to use. Did have a problem trying to use on Field Day. I couldn’t find a way to enter the FD exchange information.
Time is out of sink?
Seems like the idea of the program is great. The problem I’m having is the time is out of sync with my iPhone. The time says 0600 when it’s 11:00 PM. Also moving the cursor for the frequency is very difficult to set to an exact frequency. If I could figure out how to fix these issuesi I would change my rating to 5 stars.
Now with POTA/SOTA!!
Once I worked through the proper cable wiring to work on my iPhone, I was able to use this app, and my radio’s VOX option to work a POTA session successfully. Well done!!
PS: there was not a lot of info on how to build the cables, it may help a lot to have a little more info on how to do it.
