Upon opening that app, I was told I must immediately “upgrade” to this one. This one doesn’t allow me to log in, access my settings, or let me know what the security issue is. There is now no way for me to regain access to the optik TV due to a power outage. And now you cannot change any settings for your network other than maybe changing the Wi-Fi password. It’s not like the previous app had many settings either, but somehow they’ve taken away more settings… If can’t even see the IP addresses of all my devices what’s the point of this app??? And why the hell does it need “AI”?!? I think the Telus Connect app was good for what I needed it to be. I saw the monthly usage, breakdowns per device, and could look at my billing in one easy app. Now I have to download two different apps with not even the same functionality of one? The device management with this new app only shows 5 devices out of the 20 I have connected. Why do I have to download the My Telus app to see my services instead of it being wrapped in one app? Then, as my contract was about to expire, I called to ask for a new contract. They told me I didn’t need to change anything, as I had a five-year locked-in contract for the same fee. But they told me they could give me a better deal. BIG FAT LIE. Now I am stuck with a two-year contract for $27 additional a month. I feel betrayed. I already called, and they did not fix my problem. When I do refresh I just get the red banner at the bottom that says “Not all devices are up to date yet. Please try again later.” I also had some devices intentionally paused on the old app. Those that actually showed up in the new showed that they weren’t paused, but I had to go in and pause them, then unpause to get them to connect. The paused devices that aren’t showing up - I haven’t yet figured out how to fix that.
