iOrnament combines art and science. You draw a simple stroke and iOrnament turns it into stunning patterns and mandalas according to rules of symmetry. With iOrnament everyone can be an artist. You will create fascinating ornaments and intricate designs. Fun and challenging from ages three to one-hundred for both doodlers and creative professionals. Interactive tutorial and many drawing tips included!

iOrnament is an app that is designed for drawing ornamental designs that are both artistically and mathematically fascinating. You draw simple strokes and the app repeats them over and over according to the rules of the 17 crystallographic wallpaper groups. By this, fantastic symmetric patterns are created. Kaleidoscope-like pictures, tilings, complicated knots and artistic pavements are right at your fingertips. In addition, iOrnament contains an interactive pop-up book that explains mathematical backgrounds on the theory of wallpaper groups and a sampler of classical ornaments from ancient cultures.

I purchased the bundle , and want to create patterns , mandalas, etc, but unfortunately this app is not compatible with Ipad Air 2019, and UI is terrible to figure out. I’m nothing than disappointed with this purchase, and app is nothing but for children who can move back and forth and make some silly ornaments. Not for designers at all....I use some more friendly app .

I love this app and what it can do, but the UI really needs some help. Changes to settings at the very least should persist after closing and reopening the app; the save function should be separate from the share button; menus are not always intuitive and iconography for buttons is not clear. This app is really on to something but it would great if the UI could get to the next level.

I use an old phone for my drawings using iOrnament. Obviously you're not going to get all the same tools on older devices, but for what it does is still grea. The developer is so helpful it's honestly ridiculous. Definitely a 5 star application.
