I am part of the many that purchased this app for $10.00 a few years ago. Why is a subscription being required now? :( it was so nice to read this every morning on-the-go after already having purchased the book/app on my phone. I’m bummed :( all over though, amazing app & book. Sarah Young is an amazing author

Thank you for fixing the ‘legacy’ purchase.

Ever since Sarah died this app has not been the same. I have had it forever along with many many books that I have bought for gifts. Now to make matters worse I have a new phone and when I went to install my app, I have to pay to read. I’m sure this was not what Sarah was about. So very, very sad that this is what Jesus Calling has turned into. Happy new month it does not start with the first days new reading you have to search for it, hopefully you work things out for the better of people to be able to enjoy this.

Uninstalled. Today 2 weeks later. Still wants me to pay after i downloaded from giveaway of the day free offer. I came from website giveaway of the day, it said this is free today. Normally $9.99 . Why am i being asked to pay?

Purchased the paid for app years ago. Used it for well over a decade with no issues. With no prior customer communication, a recent app update removed all prior access and devotional saves; allowing only 7-days access and now requiring monthly payments going forward for full functionality. Sought input/ feedback repeatedly from company on what happened and why through an assigned case number. No reply. Unacceptable communication and long term customer treatment. Sadly, ironic treatment for a Christian following of “Jesus Calling” readers.

I bought the original Jesus Calling app several years ago and have loved reading it every day. It has spoken to me personally in ways that I can’t explain. It’s like each day is written just for my needs in mind! I really miss being able to access it on my new iphone11. I have emailed Harper Collins regarding this several times and have tried all of their suggestions: restarting my phone, removing and reinstalling the app, restoring my purchase, updating the app, starting the app with the audio, etc., to no avail. I still only get the one-week trial version of the app and am very discouraged and disappointed! I miss being able to read Jesus Calling every day. It has been a huge blessing in my life and I have told many, many friends to buy the app themselves over the years. It is a gem. I wish someone could help me get my original purchase back onto my new phone. This is my second review. I am disgusted! I have contacted Harper Collins several times over the past 4 months about not being able to access my original Jesus Calling purchase. I still cannot access Jesus Calling and am very angry now for being betrayed. The “restore purchase” button does not work.

After the update and push for the subscription option, the usage of the items previously purchased has become a nightmare! I realize money streams are essential, but to create them at the expense of your loyal customers is very bad business, and extremely disappointing for a Christian organization.

I purchased the digital copy of one single devotional several years ago for doing bible study on my iPad. I enjoyed it and it worked as expected then suddenly there’s an update and I can only read it for a few days a month before it loops back to January 1st and that’s all I can access. I have emailed the company about this multiple times and I’ve yet to hear the 1st word back from them. In addition to the digital copy I PURCHASED but can no longer access, I own three different Jesus calling hard back devotional books and have purchased at least five more as gifts the over the years. Being forced to spend more money in order to use a product that I already paid for, the lack of loyalty to a paid legacy user and the utter lack of customer service has me so disappointed that I have chosen to no longer used any Jesus calling devotional books digital or printed book nor will I be purchasing any additional as gifts in the future.
