When it comes to learning a new language, some learners like dictionaries. They read them. They treasure them. They worry about getting the best possible dictionary, but what If you can create your own dictionary! Kalimaty allows you to create your own dictionary.
Using traditional dictionaries is like one-way love, you put a lot of effort into looking words up. you think things are fine when looking at the meaning in the dictionary, but as soon as you close the dictionary very little remains, you have already forgotten what you just read. You left feeling empty even reading online and using an online dictionary is not enough. Without the ability to create your own dictionary, you could be wasting time.
Kalimaty will give you the ability to add your own words to be able to review them occasionally. It is a dynamic database of your new words and phrases, linked to real examples of these words in use, related to your reading and listening, not just learner content. Kalimaty is a great tool enables you to learn from your listening and reading in efficient and effective way.
At Kalimaty you can save new words and phrases to your personal database for later study. You can provide an explanation, image, categories and translation. Soon, You will be able to copy words from other user dictionaries and add them to your dictionary if you want, great features also.

Adding Image Problem
It’s a nice app, but I couldn’t find a way to add images to words, that feature doesn’t seem to be working.
Import Feature
I wanted to import my words to app but I couldnt find a way to do it
This App is so Underrated
This App is amazing. So simple and easy to use. I think this is very beneficial especially to non English people. Amazing App.
Amazing customer service
I was having some issues with my file format when I was trying to import some vocab and emailed for help. Obai responded to me directly and worked with me until we got the issue sorted. I like that there is a desktop version and that you can sort your words into different categories - so handy!! Thank you Obai!!
Great customer service
I need a dictionary to record words in Zapotec, which is an indigenous language without a lot of resources. I was having an issue sharing access with my friends, but the Kalimaty team responded to my issue with professionalism and speed. One day it would be great to share my dictionary without having to share the account, but in the meantime the Kalimaty team offered a solution that works for my needs. Thank you again!
Very Buggy
I tried to create a new category by hitting the sone button. And it wouldn’t work. When I it the button 5 more times it still wouldn’t work.
Pronunciation error
This is a cool app, but the pronunciation feature seems to be broken. There’s no sound whatsoever.
Made a Mistake
Hi! I made a mistake when signing up for the very first time for this app! I clicked on learning English, instead of French. I have created a few other accounts on this app and tried to put my learning language from English to French, but the app won’t let me. Developers, please help me! I am learning French, not English. Please help me fix this one issue, and I will give 5 stars. Thank you for helping me. Merci.
