They must have used AI to generate words. So many words wrong in lesser known languages you know no one did any quality control.

Overpriced for what it is. Buggy, lots of crashes. Some of the cards contain errors. Had a random empty card that I couldn’t delete. For as much as it costs, it seems that they should be able to hire a competent developer. On the positive side, it’s a nice idea. Just poorly executed. For a 4+ year old app I was unimpressed. It seems that it should have had time to become a lot more refined. All the art is obvious AI slop, not a great look. It does what Anki and Pleco already do, but far worse.

My Spanish fluent partner found eyebrow raising errors in the first 10 minutes of downloading. “Suddenly” and “cloudburst” are not the same no matter how you translate it.I was being generous and inferred “cloudburst” meant “raincloud”. I was SO excited cuz the UX is great but the basic function is riddled with errors. I can’t trust this app if the 1 thing I need it for doesn’t work.

Ultimately this rating comes down to one thing. Frequently, cards have straight up incorrect translations. A fantastic idea for a vocab builder, but it is rendered useless by its inaccuracy. Just use Anki. I will come back to this app if they can garante more accurate decks.

Make you waste your time to tell you there is a subscription in the end

If you’re going to allow a free trial then let the user really use it. After a session of doing some flash cards it restricts you from doing more and says you have to wait to do more. Why? Glad I cancelled before getting charged.

This app was clearly put together by AI with no human review for accuracy of translated material. In the basic Spanish pack, they cannot even get the months of year correct, with the month of May listed as “Puede” (the present tense 3rd person singular of the verb “poder”) instead of “Mayo”. In body parts, the back is listed as “atras” (a preposition indicating direction) instead of “espalda”, the noun for the body part. If they could not get these basics down, who knows what else they have gotten wrong. Who wants to learn wrong vocabulary because a greedy company was too cheap to pay real translators to review their material? An app is no good, no mater how slick it is, if the underlying data is bad. Shame on Apple for even allowing this fraud in the App Store!

I like the concepts in this app, with swiping and images relating to the words. However, I started below my fluency level on the free version of the app to try it out. I found a number of errors - especially words more than one meaning in English that translate to Spanish and mean completely different things. For example, in the months of the year section, “May” the month is translated to “puede”(I can, I may) instead of “Mayo”. The card and image clearly represent the month of May. You can edit the cards in the app, but you can’t report errors. Cool concept, but I’m now spending more time double-checking newer words and phrases that feel off to me with another translation app to verify, so it renders this app useless for learning new words. The developers need to invest in verifying the accuracy of the cards with native speakers to justify a paid subscription.

Learning Japanese vocabulary with the app and I find it to be good. My main issue is there are some words that the audio doesn’t match the word. Plz plz plz fix this

(The app team was responsive and fixed the issue) I paid for premium and it randomly cut off my premium subscription. No refund. Just took my money
