I find this app to be the best way of learning a language because it’s just like having a language teacher but more flexible around your schedule and is way cheaper too I find the price for 1 year is pretty good

The app does not offer any basic of free version at all. After exiting the initial conversation due to choosing the wrong level, I could do nothing in the app without it telling me to start my free week. Essentially, after the free trial where they try to convince you that you need this app, the app is useless unless you pay the expensive subscription.

First couple lessons are good but the AI stops showing the phrase you’re meant to say forcing you to memorise it. This does not feel conducive to learning and is honestly demotivating as lessons become significantly harder. There is also an unavoidable feature where the AI asks you what you want to say instead of just teaching the vocab.
There is a bug in the “teach in language” button where it never switches back to English even after being turned off. 
Not worth it for the price point given the lack of 
control the user has over these.

List of issues discovered in 30 min of use. 
- AI can’t understand actual words or phrases so it will accept and congratulate you on anything remotely close to the phrases it’s asking. (AI asked for 麻烦你请告诉我商店再怎么走？ I responded with just the consonant sounds and no tones “muh fuh nuh quh guh…” etc and it said “Perfect!” 
- “Lessons” are limited by time, there was one where it asked for a long phrase to be repeated, I was unable to process it quick enough so I asked for it to be repeated and the lesson ended before I could respond
- No consistent memory or actual lesson plans - regarding the previous point I asked for my next lesson to resume from where the previous lesson was cut short, and the AI agreed but restarted the previous lesson from the beginning - no memory of progress or sticking points
- Normal AI continuity errors - a typical practice scenario is the AI will outline a call/response practice: “Ok i will say X then you say Y, let’s give it a try!” Then will not say the first phrase.
- AI doesn’t understand handsfree mode - when in handsfree mode you will often be given your turn to speak, and a new phrase to try that is written in text and not told to you. The main attraction of this app is that I could use it in a commute while driving so instead of reading the text I asked the AI “could you say this phrase for me”, then it said “Sure thing!” and explained a completely different phrase than what was written.

Found all these issues in about 25 min - good idea but barely past a testing phase, maybe this whole project was vibe coded? I don’t know how anyone could put out something with such poor quality and try to get >$100 out of you for it.
