Thank you, thank you for designing a clever fall themed ap for learning.
I downloaded this app for free & loads of promise to teach a variety of patterns. Sadly, only two patterns are free. I'm deleting immediately.
The app is colorful and the pictures are appealing to my little autistic clients. The clients I work with are non verbal low functioning. I use mostly the ABA patterns. My non autistic 4 year old granddaughter absolutely loves it! The levels are very challenging for her. We love the fall theme!
Great graphics, can be used for older students as well. Very user friendly!
Perfect way to review patterns for my preschooler. Thanks for a tool in include in our curriculum!
Uncluttered screen and colorful, appealing graphics. A child touches a picture to add to the end of the pattern. Wrong choices are cleared from the screen. There is a progression to slightly more difficult patterns. I do think some of the patterns needed to have more elements presented in order to make the pattern clear. For instance, there patterns with 3 of one picture, followed by 2 of another picture and a blank. With only 5 pictures in the pattern, not enough information is given for a child to deduce the pattern of 3 apples followed by 3 acorns. In math instruction, patterns are usually repeated 3 times before a child is asked to extend them.
This app help teach pattern skills that young children who understand how see those patterns will benefit math/reading skills in those early grades 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Can't wait to try this with my speech kids. Great way to elicit language and work on naming while learning patterns.
