Love movies? This is your chance to become a Hollywood Film Scout.
Legion M is the world’s first fan-owned entertainment company, and Film Scout is the platform we created to bring fans into our decision making process. Film Scout allows our fans to help decide which movies we get involved with, and harnesses the “wisdom of the crowd” to make better decisions on behalf of the company and the 30,000+ fans that own it.
And today YOU are formally invited to join us!
In previous years we've used Film Scout exclusively for the Sundance Film Festival. However, we're excited to announce that we've updated the app to allow for more festivals-- and more films-- to scout. Tell us what movies you’d like to see, and put your scouting skills to the test by predicting what others will think.
Do a good enough job, and you just may earn an invitation to join to Legion M’s Elite Scout program, where you can earn free rewards and a chance to get even more involved scouting films for the world’s first fan-owned entertainment company.
The impact of Film Scout:
In 2020, over 120,000 Film Scout votes were cast to identify Save Yourselves! as one of the top films at Sundance Film Festival. Based on these votes Legion M partnered with Bleecker Street to release the film, which is now certified fresh with an 88% Rotten Tomatoes score.
In 2019 over 40,000 Film Scout votes led us to the documentary Memory: The Origins of Alien (89% Rotten Tomato Score). Based on these votes, Legion M partnered with Screen Media to purchase North American distribution rights and release the film in theaters and on-demand.

Love this app! Have used it the past 3 years during Legion M’s Film Scouting for Sundance Film Festival. Super easy to use! Plus Legion M takes all results/judging into account when they decide what films to go after. Highly recommend if you want your voice to be heard!

Still won’t work

I was finally able to get a confirmation code, but now when I sign in, it just says Oops. We made a mistake. With a network error message. Every time I try again, it gives the same error. Too bad, I was looking forward to using the app.

They fixed it! It works now.

Apparently they were having a problem with their text message provider. The app will both email and text you the confirmation code now. I had to skip the second confirmation code entry because the code they sent me didn’t work on it, but other than that it works fine now and I can use the Film Scout app. It’s super fun and I highly recommend it for film buffs.

Won’t let me create an account

EDIT- Changed my score to 5 stars. Once issues were resolved I was able to login and play around a bit on the app. Everything works perfectly and is actually really fun. Thanks to the developers for responding and fixing things! I entered my info and created a password. They then say they will send you a confirmation code. This is where the problem is. It never sends a code. Waited 15 minutes then hit resend code. No code came. Resend code again still no code. Then it said I’ve exceeded my try limit. Don’t bother with this app. It seems as if it was rushed and is not a finished product.
