Love that you can pay for cover on the app and can skip the line as well, perfect for those busy nights when some bars can have a super long line with an hour wait. I also love that the Lineskips sometimes come with a free drink to redeem at the bar which is def amazing and makes me feel like I’m getting an even better deal and makes the LineSkip pass that much more worth it! I went to the University of Arizona and all of the bars were partnered with it there. The lines can be hours long sometimes on big nights and being able to easily skip the line with LineLeap has saved me and my friends so much time. Plus, a lot of the passes come with drinks, so I get a drink handed to me right when I enter the bar after skipping the line. I live in Scottsdale now and some of the best bars here are also partnered with LineLeap so I love that I can continue to use it post-grad. I've also used it when I visited Nashville last year which was a total lifesaver. After reaching out, the funny thing was that i was told to go reach out to the venue regarding the transaction and get approval for them. I wouldve really not cared if it was a small amount, but in this case it wasnt. They said that they were not gonna let anymore people in so of course I wanted a refund because they did not even give me the option to go inside. I even had line skip. I spent $50 and contacted line leap to try and get a refund but no I cannot get one because the venue does not allow it. I tried to explain to line leap that the venue told me to contact them in order to get a refund. They only offered me a credit after trying to get into contact with them a bunch of times and now will not respond to me. I am very angry at this. They do not even have a phone number you can talk to over the phone. It has to be done through text or email and I find this very complicated. We are a no cover city, and for ages lines were all about timing. The last 5 years have changed the financial and social lives of the student body. If you want to go to one of the good bars on campus on a Thursday or Saturday you need to pay on average of $50-150 for the LineLeap, or be in line by 7:00 to get into the bar. Students have other commitments and can’t just spend their entire evening in line, so it has basically doubled the price of going out. I literally mean it’s impossible to go any of the (3-5) “top bars” certain nights of the week with LineLeap. Sometimes there is even a line for the people that have bought LineLeap! I’ve been stuck in this line for an hour before. There are so many other things that this scummy corporation has done to take advantage of the student body of UW-Madison but this review isn’t long enough to say them all so here are the highlights: organize the worst bar crawls of all time where they oversell T-Shirts compared to bar capacity so 1/4 of the participants are stuck in line the whole time, give out free Lineleaps ONLY TO THE “popular” frats/sororities, pay “reps “ from various orgs to spew pro LL propaganda to the org and continue to promote their agenda, and now bars are even selling out BOOTHS to reserve for the night on LineLeap for in some cases $1000 dollars. Can’t express my (and all of my peers) disdain for this vile app and organization with words.
