Im very excited to see how this app progresses!! Its very easy to follow and learn from, all of the translation and learning options are amazing I 100% recommend this app usually language learning feels like a chore for me but I spent over 2 hours in this app because it’s very interactive and fun to play

I downloaded this app in an attempt to learn my family’s language, Italian. It was a very good and interesting concept, and I really enjoyed it. I think it would attract a lot more people by it being free to play. Rather, you could have special in game perks that can be bought. ( Similar to duolingo plus, and max ). Otherwise it seems to be a very good game. Would recommend if you’re willing to spend the money.

High praise for the enjoyability factor of this app, and also its ease of use! Wonderful for practicing grammar and learning new words. Really fun and interactive! **It's very important to be know that this app does NOT notice or correct your pronunciation whatsoever. It will allow words to be said extremely EXTREMELY incorrectly and still provide feedback that you did great. It only corrects grammar, word order, and makes suggestions as to better words and phrases to use. This is probably a limitation of the AI being used right now and hopefully will change to provide pronunciation feedback in the future. The availability of that is quickly becoming possible. But it is crucial that new learners are aware of this limitation for now.** I have 3 suggestions for Looper's authors. The first is an easy-to-fix one: please add the ability to change your name. (People put in goofy names to test sometimes, and people may want to use a different, more local-sounding nickname while learning a different language.) Ideally, allow the app to recall whatever name was input for each language. The second is even easier: Add an Instructions sceen within Settings, and have it show automatically upon the first use of the app (with a checkbox for "don't show this again". Although I was able to figure out what button did what by pressing them all, a very simple mockup with arrows stating "click here to xyz" would make it much easier. No need to introduce a learning curve, as you've already created a very user-friendly interface! The third is to allow the user to listen to their own recording. Although the transcipt was a brilliant idea and is part of what makes your app extra-good, just reading it after isn't really sufficient. Even if it is only available to listen to temporarily when you press "Feedback" and not stored (which I imagine might be difficult memory-wise), it would be a huge benefit to the user. (Having the recordings permanently available would be awesome of course, one day.) I rarely leave reviews, and I have tested over 1000 apps. This one impresses me, and has room to become top in its class (pun intended)!

I have tried many apps, and for sure this one is the one that got me finally talking practicing my speech a lot. It’s actually fun! Characters have different personalities and conversations are engaging. I like the propositions the app gives you too if you blank or have trouble speaking anything. Lots of subjects too! Also the team making this app are very receptive and keep bettering the app, they replied by email to my question fast and were very nice. Really worth investing into. Finally a language app that was worth paying for!

Lingolooper is an app you come across only every once in a blue moon. I’ve been trying forever to find a way to seriously immerse myself with the languages I want to learn and have genuine / meaningful conversations. Not only can I have conversations with “local avatars” even if I’m just starting to learn a language, I can also take everything at my own pace and actively note down everything (+download transcripts!) so I can practice later. I’m genuinely addicted to this app, like I would be to a video game AND it’s educational. The layout is approachable and honestly nostalgic for me. It makes a lot of sense why you have to pay a subscription fee for this app, it’s obvious the developers have put a lot of thought, energy and creativity into the design and experience. Y’all should ditch Duolingo, this app is everything you’d want and more, it’s sooooo worth it. Thank you Lingolooper team for making this cool app!!

If you’ve taken a few years of a language in high school or college and want to start being able to polish conversational fluency, this is the perfect app. It’s like a game where you chat with different people and just practice speaking and listening to the language. Think of it like immersion but through an app. If you get stuck you can ask for suggestions and as you speak it will correct your speech as well. I started using this last week and already my speaking, pronunciation, grammar and listening skills has improved.

Really liking this app and looking forward to seeing how it develops over time. It’s so helpful with thinking of responses quickly and learning new vocab. And because it’s AI, there’s no pressure to say everything perfectly. It’s helping me feel more comfortable before I actually speak with others! I do wish some of the dialogue was more advanced. With French, I’m learning about sentence structure and little things like saying “la leur” in a sentence is more what I want to practice vs repeating the sentence structure in a way that avoids that. Hopefully I’m making sense. But it may not be the app’s fault! It’s probably based on what level I was placed at when I signed up. But regardless, love the app and definitely recommend it!

Perfect for what I’ve been looking for. Immersion is one of the most important ways of learning a language and this helped me so much!
