This is terrible
The lure you in with “high standards” and force you to pay 50 to even see the people, of which there are no standards and less than 10 in your area
Could be Great
Could be great. But there seem to be no other members in Boston!
Broken Experience for a Paid Product
The app is showing outdated information—if it’s pulling old data from my profile, then I assume other profiles are stale too. Not sure where it’s caching data from, but it’s disappointing, especially for a paid membership. You expect this kind of thing to just work. Erodes trust.
Review
Enjoyable. It's can be challenging with the distance between matches but I believe this will take care of itself as the more members join the platform.
Bait & Switch
This app is a complete rip off & not worth the high price point. Also when they have events it’s a joke have more demand then anything. The unfortunate thing is it used to be decent but has gone downhill, they keep showing you people that you already said no to earlier in the day. Save the $$$$$
Don’t Waste Your Time
If you look up “Lox Club” on TikTok, the only recent videos you will see are from two individuals who are both related to the founder. You’d think that if this app was as exclusive and as ‘groundbreaking’ as its employees say, then the CEO wouldn’t need to ask his family members to pretend to be other people, and promote it just to get more people to try. If I can save even one person from being scammed in the same way that I did, then great. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked for startups for over half my life and I understand more than most people what it takes to make something out of nothing. I respect hustle, and I respect hard work. What I don’t respect is a blatantly dishonest marketing strategy and developers who claim every few weeks to have fixed the many bug issues the app has, just for that to be….yet another lie. You’re better off joining Hinge or Bumble (which are both free.99) instead of trying your luck on a service which was literally created with the intent of ripping you off, instead of helping you find love. I’m out.
Can not search in your city
You must pay at least $50 for basic dating app matching functionality. However, you can filter your search to people within your region. On the second day of using the app, I had already gone through everyone in Los Angeles, yet it was showing me people across the country. This should not be a paid service.
Useless without payment
I shouldn’t be surprised that yet another specialty dating app does everything in its power to force its users towards purchasing its premium account, but it feels especially audacious after reading the saccharine story behind the app. I’m not even given the chance to like someone on here without first paying. At this point, if you intend to be literally useless to those who will not pay for a membership, just don’t allow people to join without paying at all. Don’t let them sit at the gates and tantalize them with what could be.
Messing w/ your public rep
Guys I’ve tried contacting you about this. Your app says that I am ghosting people on the app. This is concerning safety wise because the app automatically links my Instagram which leads to my public Google page for my business. I don’t ghost people, in part, because I am a publicly facing business. I feel like you guys are either just messing with me, or with my livelihood. One of the two.
