I tried many digital banks and their apps and have concluded that Macquarie Banks app is superior by far. Although Macquarie Bank’s communications still need improvement, especially regarding feedback, complaints and their road map of planned features and modifications. But I’m sure it’s a work in progress. (Two years ago I could not have imagined I’d believe that.) I am also pleased to add that Macquarie’s bank operations are more personal, compassionate and more responsive than any bank I’ve ever used. Macquarie routinely sends me surveys requesting feedback however I have now stopped responding as there is no indication they take customer feedback on board. I think they are just ticking boxes with their surveys. As just one example, like many other reviewers I would like to see Macquarie include running balances in customers’ transaction history. Look at all the reviews here - has Macquarie responded to a single one? And you can’t use the pointless Authenticator app because it pushes your 2FA to a mobile number with no option to change this. So basically renders the whole bank account and app utterly pointless when you go overseas.
