Since you released your latest update (2/12/2024) the app will not download content onto iPad.

This app makes it easy to sign up for subscriptions but impossible to cancel, leaving you tied in so that they keep taking your money even when you’re trying to cancel. Avoid

Never having really recovered from the loss of Anne Robinson’s Saturday morning columns in The Times, and then The Telegraph, I was vaguely browsing magazines on the app when I spotted her name included on the front page of The Oldie. What joy I had reading the article, and then to discover the wonderful Lucinda Lambton’s monthly contributions, I was hooked. One of the best things about the Magzter app is that one can look back on previous issues - all the way back to September 2015 - so I have been indulging myself and reading backwards through the decade. It is a thrill each time I discover the occasional article by Robinson, fascinating to join Lucinda and her flowering descriptions of places and people across the country. There are many fine features by the late Barry Humphries, even a couple from Dame Edna and some political comment from Sir Les Patterson that clearly offended some readers. I’m enjoying the day to day reflections of Mary Kenny and even skim through with occasional amusement the name dropping column of Gyles Brandreth. And in addition to all this there are features on talented artistes such as Larry Grayson, Charles Hawtrey, Barbara Windsor; politicians and scholars. It is a rich mix and one to be relished.

Looking through a fitness magazine and wanted to save some workout ideas. Tried screenshotting but the app tells you to not take screenshots and to use the "Save Clips" feature instead. So I did, told me to create a profile so I did that too, hit save... "Internal Server Error". Great. Guess I'll use my phone to take pictures of the screen then. And no, I'm not going to sell any of the publishers' content, even though I have noticed that some publishers' content isn't actually their own.

A combination of two deadly failures. An App that doesn’t work and no one that has the technical ability to fix it. The subscription offer simply doesn’t get recognised. I paid my subscription in April and the App simply doesn’t recognise the payment. The help centre is non -existent and there appears to be no way to make the software work without constantly getting a prompt for an upgrade that I have already paid for. Despite several attempts at contacting them the problem has not been fixed and I am now proceeding to see if I can get my subscription refunded by my credit card company.

It’s good app to read the newspapers. I liked it so much. It easy to navigate between the pages and share the favourite articles.

This is a comment on Magzter more than the app itself. After paying for a two year subscription I have no access to the service both the website and app say I have no subscription. The only response so far from customer support is that my subscription shows as active on their system which isn’t much use to me. Have contacted customer support again but so far no response.

Bought a 12 month magazine subscription, and that magazine folded two weeks later. Wrote to Magzter asking for a refund, and they refused, saying the magazine (now defunct) hadn’t contacted them, so I could not have a refund, so I’ve a 12 month subscription for one issue. I’d avoid if I were you.
