I can honestly say that my experience with ManageBac has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've had with any app. Here’s why I feel compelled to give it a one-star review.

Terrible User Interface

Right off the bat, the user interface is a mess. It’s clunky, outdated, and feels like a poorly designed website from the early 2000s. Navigating through the app is like wading through molasses. Important features are buried in menus that make no sense, and I often find myself lost and confused. It’s hard to believe that in 2023, an educational app could be this poorly designed.

Constant Technical Issues

The technical performance is just abysmal. The app frequently freezes, crashes, or simply fails to load. I’ve lost count of how many times I've tried to upload assignments, only for the app to crash mid-upload. This has led to missed deadlines and a lot of unnecessary stress. Syncing between devices is another nightmare—assignments I complete on my laptop often don't appear on my phone, which is utterly unacceptable for an app meant to help manage academic responsibilities.

Inadequate Assignment Management

The assignment management capabilities are nothing short of a disaster. Notifications are inconsistent and often fail to alert me about upcoming deadlines, which has resulted in me missing critical submissions. The layout for viewing assignments is cluttered and confusing, making it difficult to prioritize my work. Instead of helping me stay organized, ManageBac has made my academic life more chaotic.

Poor Grade Tracking

The grade tracking feature is laughable. It’s poorly implemented and lacks clarity, making it hard to understand how my grades are calculated. I often have to resort to manual tracking, which defeats the purpose of using this app in the first place. The lack of detailed reports or analytics means I can’t get a clear picture of my academic progress, leaving me in the dark about how I’m actually doing.

Lack of Integration

To top it all off, ManageBac lacks integration with other essential educational tools. It feels like it exists in a bubble, making it even harder to streamline my academic workflow. It’s 2023; I should be able to connect this app to Google Drive or other platforms, but the lack of compatibility is maddening.
