Mapstr – Save & Follow Places

It was great app, but from last upgrade non-stop: Disconnected account, Please reconnect. What’s happened?

Best app so far to manage personal maps.

I really like to use this app. All places with description in one app!

I've tried dozens of places saving/local guide apps on appstore but this one is absolutely the best. Clean, simple, quick UI. No pushy ratings, hotels, ads, recommendations and what's not... pouring onto you till your head is blown. Just lets me save my favorite spots beautifully organized with tags. Omg. At last :) Thank you mapstr team!

The location of the places are in general more accurate than other checkin apps as there is option to add a new place by coordinate, rather than with a physical address. This is useful for any place which contain other places inside (building, shopping mall), to physically pinpoint the place location rather than have single icon on the map pointing to the same address for different places. Lack flexibility to adjust the location after creation of a new place, require email to the Mapstr support team but no feedback is ever received. Over time, the number of errors will accumulate in system as no one cares to correct these errors. This is also annoying as I have seen wrong location of a place on my map even the physical address is correct but I am unable to correct it. The map is useful for being able to see where you have been to. Some people may use it for planning the places they want to visit. There is no linking of the photos you uploaded back to your name or account. Ability to create your own tag is a plus as the categories can be more specific. The app is not able to provide statistic how many times you have visited to a certain place. The first checkin counts as the date at which you have added the place to your map. App layout is simple to use, the map can be accessed very quickly. There are not simply enough icons to cover for all the different types of places. The photos need to be cropped before uploading, this is one of the worse features on this app. The app should also allow the user not to see other user’s photos from your checkin list as some photos are poor quality. This app is best to use for trip planning, under the current app design it is not meant to be used as a life log. The cropping of photos really take away the fun, many people pride they take good photos with their smart phones and be able to share with others. Not able to make edit to the physical location is also disappointing.

Only gripe is inputting new places. Address section only allows a selection instead of typing in an actual address.

J’adore cette appli mais je ne peux plus m’en servir car c’est devenu payant au délà des 300 adresses. Je veux devoir passer toutes mes adresses et continuer sur Google Maps, ce qui m’embête !

Je suis seulement intéressé par la fonctionnalité d’enregistrement des adresses, je n’ai pas besoin des fonctions IA et tout ce qui a été rajouté sans répondre au besoin initial des utilisateurs. Est-ce qu’une version gratuite, basique, ne pourrait pas être proposée sans payer ? L’application permettait de stocker nos adresses préférées simplement. Avec la nouvelle mise à jour, impossible d’avoir plus de 300 adresses sans payer 70€ par an ? C’est scandaleux.

Une application qui m’a permis de centraliser l’ensemble de mes lieux favoris, de m’en faire découvrir et surtout de les partager. Indispensable à avoir sur son téléphone selon moi !

J’utilise cette app depuis plusieurs années, dégoutée qu’il faille maintenant payer au-delà de 300 adresses… Je ne peux plus m’en servir 🥲. Je vais devoir me rabattre sur Google Maps.
