3 major cons

Great video quality and night vision, but there’s 3 major cons. Everything that seems to make this app useful is locked behind a paywall. This app doesn’t support picture-in-picture. This would be a great addition. The main monitor page is only using 30% of the space. The rest is an ad for activating a premium membership. It’s annoying. They should be using the value of functionality to sell premium instead of screen real estate.

Beware! Do not buy the MIKU CAMERA OR THE APP SUBSCRIPTIONS.

Since it was sold to some private equity company, it is practically useless even if you pay for it. Do not buy the MIKU CAMERA OR THE APP SUBSCRIPTIONS.

Hate the subscription model

Miku got acquired by another company and they switched to subscription model. Its not worth $400 for the features that come without a subscription and it doesnt come with a screen.

At least it used to be free garbage..

This app monitors breathing which is nice. Otherwise, it rarely loads, hogs your phone's resources, mismeasures sleep times, and provides a poor overall experience. When I first got the monitor, there was no monthly fee so it was all worth it, but with the new monthly fee you should absolutely avoid this app and monitor.

Junk with no customer service response

Placed this on my registry. It worked awesome for the first few months. Once the company was bought it became complete junk. I’ve contacted customer service through the app a handful of times with NO RESPONSE. I’m left with an expensive piece of garbage.

Bait and switch with app features and membership

We bought the Miku because of a great set of software features in the Miku app that were free with the device purchase, but eventually those were locked away behind a Membership paywall and left us without ajay reason to keep our Miku. We’ve since switched to basic security cams for each kid and never looked back.

Serious connectivity issues

The monitor is great…. When if/when if connects. The quality of the image is good, you can save recordings and screenshots, you can see activity throughout the night and it saves breathing data and sleep efficiency. But beware after you spend several hundred dollars on debt monitor, you have to pay for a subscription for historical data. And omg. It is SO. GLITCHY. It’s a shot in the dark if the app will ever connect. The monitor shuts off randomly and resets its settings. It hops of WiFi all the time and can only be reset by messing with the physical monitor which doesn’t help if your baby is sleeping. I would not waste the money again.

Scam

Complete waste of money. It wasn’t great when the app was free and now with the subscription it’s worse!
