Good for absolutely nothing. App is trash pretty much impossible to get or report any information or issues. Pretty much what I expect from this city.
I keep getting emails on a grass not mowed issue, it’s winter now, but I can’t close the issue!!!
This app doesn’t seem to be supported anymore? I can’t perform any action. I can’t sign in, I can’t register, when I go to report an issue it will say “cannot load categories”. Unfortunate as it seems like it used to be a very helpful app.
They literally don’t do ANYTHING about any mess, disruptions or anything that should be handled by the city. Have absolutely no idea why they would have an app to do nothing about anything. You can report whatever you want but nothing will happen. They say it’s been “noted as a claim” then will just be taken off in a week. POINTLESS APP.
It seems like the first tab “places” links you to different things like “city web” and “street sweep” etc, so why when I click any of them they don’t work????? Nothing happens. The rest of the stuff, like “notices” works.
This app will not load. Do you expect users to have wifi at all times? If so, make it free to all within city limits. Frustrating.
The app is basic, making anything you're reporting a chore. Couple that with a lazy, uninterested city and you've got yourself a near worthless app. Worse part: there is no way to delete your account. The company behind this app only “deactivates” and explicitly details on their website that they will “continue to make publicly available all user-provided content indefinitely to their partners and third parties.” So there’s that for you. Thanks Minneapolis for keep an eye on citizens once again.
The app itself is fine, but the city isn’t always responsive. I understand they’re overwhelmed with winter parking/snow emergency reports right now, but it seems like they ignore many critical safety violations people report, at least in my neighborhood. Almost makes reporting feel pointless because the issues will often go unresolved.
Transparency, accessibility, and communication—these are all qualities of a responsive and accountable government that could become a reality with an improved version of this app. I for one volunteer to be part of a focus group to give feedback. Fixing the GPS, report questionnaire, connectivity for report submissions, and follow up from representatives could make this app a best practice worthy of replication in other cities.
