Couldn’t get in as “urgent visit” had to take my dog to emergency room

The app did not allow me to put in the issue my pet is having nor did it allow me to select a location other than Los Angeles, which is a big place.

I am enjoying the app on my phone very much. How wonderfully user friendly with clear and simple navigations.

Been wanting to sign up for the membership for a year. After dealing with frustration from the sign up process on the app, I finally got in but gave up on signing up. Almost a year later, I tried to sign up again for the members and again dealt with endless issues and finally gave up again. I kept getting codes to sign up that didn’t work and after 7 codes, it eventually did. Now i can’t log in without it asking me to add my pet which Ivellisse done before. So important forced to login with my phone number then immediately takes me to add the pet, which always ends up with the error telling mw that name already exists. It’s a bad error cycle that i can’t escape. It’s so bad they’ve forced everything to happen through the app. I wish you could also do it via computer. Super disappointing and frustrating. Can’t deal with this anymore so unless they have a way to do this via desktop, i won’t try to become a member anymore. Horrible service.

We just recently rescued a Great Dane puppy and our first vet experience at another clinic was awful- long wait times, zero transparency, zero customer service, and the vet seemed eager to get the appointment over after being with me for 5 minutes. When I asked questions the vet and the nurse seemed annoyed. I feared all of Los Angeles vets would be an expensive sub par experience with Vets just interested in taking all your money and little desire in providing a positive experience for you and your pet. Then a friend told me about Modern Animal and said they LOVED it so I decided to give it a try. So far, the app is hugely convenient and informative and so refreshing to know I can get answers to all my concerns in the blink of an eye! I feel SO supported! We easily scheduled our first visit through the app with ease and lots of availability. Although we haven’t experienced the in person vet or office yet, I can already feel we are in great hands just from the chat interactions. Modern animal clearly has a dedication to customer service for both the owner and the pet. The services in the app alone are worth the all access membership in my opinion. So happy I found this and I’m looking forward to our in person visit now :) thank you modern animal for changing the game and offering a new loving + intelligent way to provide care for our animals!

Went through the entire process of entering my dogs information, requesting his records from our current vet, inputting the promo code showing for “free year of full access membership” with no money due today and first payment not due for 12 months and finally my credit card information only to be told “unable to process card transaction”. If no money due for 12 months, the balance in my account should not have to be more than the cost of the membership. As long as the card is for an active, open bank account that should satisfy your needs. Otherwise it feels like you plan on drafting money without customer authorization 🤔

Thank you to the devs for reading reviews and fixing the bugs!! :) I have updated my review to 5 stars. - - - Previous Review: As people have previously mentioned, the red notification badges being messed up on the app drive me insane, and are quite a problem when this is an app used for healthcare for our pets and is needed in urgent situations. Modern Animal itself is great and I have nothing but good things to say about them, but the developer for the app needs to seriously take a look into this issue because it’s been happening to my app for months and months. I’ve tried logging out, deleting and reinstalling the app, restarting my phone inbetween, manually checking every message in my inbox to get rid of the badge, etc. and it’s still there. Please fix this, as other app users have mentioned months and months before!

I have 5 alerts or notifications, the UI design makes it unclear which it is, that I can not seem to get rid of. I’ve reported it a few times and have not heard back. I can’t find any unread messages, and it’s unclear if it’s a badge to point out that my dog needs 4 routine vaccines/health check ups within the next two months. I wish there was better app support. There’s great support for actual vet services, but I’m not sure what to do to in order to fix this weird alert number. I wish clicking it would take me to the unresolved issue but it just takes me to messages, which have all been read.

I’ve never seen such a convenient, holistic approach to managing your beloved pet’s care. Really excited for the journey with Modern Animal

I love the service that I get from my vet at Modern Animal ... this rating is specifically for the app and its usage There have been a ton of issues with the app as I've been using it for the past month. When receiving direct messages, often times I don't receive a push notification, which basically means I have to open the app to check for new messages ... i don't have to tell you that this is incredibly frustrating especially since these DMs are usually very important. I've also been getting misleading red badges on the app and on my message inbox ... basically suggesting that I have new messages I haven't read yet. However, opening the inbox shows that there are no new messages. There's no way for me to get rid of this badge. PLEASE FIX YOUR APP
