I’ve used budgeting programs in the past but found them all lacking in features I wished they had. Simple things like adding a text note to an unusual transaction so that I could understand what it was for at some future date. Or being able to create any category I want so things don’t just fall into the ‘Shopping’ category. I’m able to fine tune things by having casual meals categorized as either ‘Restaurants & Bars’, or ‘Fast Food & Take-out’ or ‘Coffee Shops & Convenience Stores’. This allows me to see how my daily expenses are actually distributed among these areas so I know better where I could tighten up these potential money wasting activities. And the AI assistant is great. I have not yet seen a single shortcoming. Well done!!

### *---- "Unreliable, back to pen and paper solution(excel)."
Sync always an issue. Random, incomplete, disconnects, manual sync doesn’t help. Manual input is ridiculously slow. Not worth the time. Basically if you track with pen and paper you’re safe and won’t loose transactions. If you rely on Monarch…well. It is Mostly a struggle than a fin budgeting or spending analytical tool. Defeats the purpose, not worth the money Monarch is all about IMHO.

I moved from US to Canada. Could use supposed for CAD vs USD mixed accounts. AI could be better. Canadian acc ask me for auth every 24 hours.

PS: lately I have stopped seeing ongoing month in monthly report. On Jul 28th, last month I see in monthly bar graph report is June. I used to see this before (arguably most imp month on that page)

Love the app, it really helped us make a budget and stick to it. Our main issue is that my partner’s bank does lot work well with the connexion partners and it disconnects every day, and now doesn’t even want to connect at all. Not entirely the app’s fault obviously, but diversifying connexion partners and maybe reaching out to banks to be approved as a third party service would help

I purchased this app, and realized that it doesn’t have support for USD, EUR, GBP, etc account. It just adds them up as if 1 CAD = 1 EUR. This is critical if you or are travelling and using something bank accounts with different currencies. 

I’ll change my review to 5 stars when this critical feature is implemented.

I’ve used Monarch and loved it the last several years, unfortunately, after the latest update and no longer gives information on the current month and instead defaults to only showing the last month’s data, which is not ideal to help budgeting during the current month. Please help fix this bug and I’ll change my review. I checked the website and it’s an app only bug.

I would like the opportunity to create my own goal types. I can't honestly place goals like “Home Renovations” or “Art/Entertainment” under the current options. “Joy” would be useful. These are meaningful parts of financial planning too.

I’m loving Monarch Money app. It’s so easy to use once you’ve taken the time to create your own categories and budgets. If you take this time it becomes so easy to use! I love how easy it is to set budgets, adjust budgets as needed, move money from one category to another to cover shortfalls and to generally keep a close eye on monthly spending. It’s also so easy to track over time, review history and plan for future expenditures. I’d be lost without Monarch keeping my spending on track.

J’ai souscrit à l’app le 29 juin (7 jours d’essai gratuit) mais je me suis rendu compte qu’elle ne correspondait pas à mes besoins et j’ai annulé mon abonnement le jour même via l’AppStore. À ma grande surprise, je constate que 22,18$ m’ont été facturé par l’application sur ma carte de crédit malgré mon désabonnement le jour même. J’aimerais un remboursement.
