Useful, Informative, and Helpful App
Super simple, beautiful and easy to work with. The diary that can make an actual report to send to your doctor is awesome. It is a pity that you can’t add photos of the food to the diary though, it would be super handy for those who have to discuss everything eaten with a doctor every month. Except for that, totally loved the app!
The design of the app and how information is being presented is so easy to use. Great for beginners at FODMAP. Really like the diary to monitor food intake the the traffic light method to get a snapshot of types of food w low or high FODMAP! Would love it if there were a wider range of foods and recipes esp Asian foods.
I will get the one negative out of the way: the search function has issues. Type a full word and often the result will not come on (despite the item being in the database). Will be much more usable if this is fixed. The information contained within the APP is all from Monash University, which is a pioneer in FODMAP. So quality of content is high. Usability of the APP is excellent, other than the search function bug. Layout is intuitive. The low FODMAP diet is not easy to follow without an on-hand reference, so having this on your phone serves a real practical use. Recipes are tasty an include quality pictures for reference. Perhaps in a future version there could be a community based recipe section? It's a good sized database and I hope they continue to update and expand it.
Really challenging to use the app UX makes no sense :(
The best go to for what and how much I can eat since I’ve had colon surgery… I am so thankful that the Monash University has done all of the research for me so my life is much easier in planning meals and how much of certain foods I can have without a bellyache! Thank you for your time and research for us Monash University!!!!
If you know a few foods that trigger you, you can quickly figure out what category they belong to and then start to eliminate foods from those categories. There are foods that I didn’t even know triggered me, but this app helped me identify them, eliminating the guessing game I’ve been going through for decades. For example, there are foods that utterly surprised me as fructans and sorbitols. This app so handy at the grocery store or dinners out at restaurants. I would now be lost without it. I think in another year or so I won’t need it anymore, as I will have my trigger foods all identified. This app truly changed my life.
thought this would be really helpful as i'm navigating ibs/low fodmaps. but it really doesn't have a lot of features and would benefit from a more guided navigation of how to reintegrate the low fodmaps. the foods are only categorized by sorbitol/fructose/etc which can be hard to figure out which foods are what, and only has a few limited foods available for logging. it also doesn't include foods like bacon that are relevant in the fat content, for example, that i'd benefit from. not able to personalize diet triggers to the user.
