## Mozaic Plugin Workshop Description
Create your own MIDI plugins: MIDI filters, generative music tools, basic sequencers, MIDI control panels, chaos experiments... Let your imagination take you places. 

Mozaic runs inside your favorite AU MIDI host, and gives you practical building blocks such as LFOs, pre-fab GUI layouts, musical scales, AUv3 support (with AU Parameters, transport events, tempo syncing, etc.), random generators and a super-simple yet powerful script language. Mozaic even offers quick access to your device’s Tilt Sensors for expressive interaction concepts!

The Mozaic Script language is designed from the ground up to be the easiest and most flexible MIDI language on iOS. A language by creatives, for creatives. You’ll only need to write a few lines of script to achieve impressive things - or to create that uber-specific thing that was missing from your MIDI setup.

Mozaic comes with a sizable collection of tutorials and pre-made scripts which you can use out of the box, or which can be a starting point for your own plugin adventures.

Practical notes: 
- Mozaic requires a plugin host with support for AUv3 MIDI plugins (AUM, ApeMatrix, Cubasis, Auria, Audiobus 3, etc.)
- The standalone mode of Mozaic lets you edit, test and export projects, but for MIDI connections you need to run it inside an AUv3 MIDI host
- MIDI is not sound; Mozaic on its own does not make noise... so bring your own synths, drum machines and other instruments! 
- AUv3 MIDI requires iOS11 or higher

### ***** "So gut!"
Stundenlang nach einem bestimmten MIDI Effekt in den Apps gesucht… nichts gefunden, was funktioniert… Dann die Erleuchtung — da gibt‘s ja auch noch Mosaic! In 15 Minuten selbst geschrieben, läuft reibungslos und latenzfrei. What?? Ok, ich hatte vorher schon mal 1,5 Stunden in meine Lernkurve investiert, aber die Skriptsprache ist so straightforward und die Anleitung so kurzweilig, dass das das reine Vergnügen war. Wer gerne kreativ tätig und nicht total code-avers ist, kann hier ne Menge Freude haben.

Mittlerweile gibt es ja viele fertige Scripts von motivierteren Programmierern als ich. Vielen Dank an euch! Ich würde mich als MIDI-Nerd bezeichnen und als solcher ist es für mich die perfekte App! Damit sage ich meinen verschiedenen MIDI-Controllern was sie tun sollen, ich nutze Step-Sequenzer, Akkord-Generatoren, generiere Zufallsmelodien,...... Unendliche Möglichkeiten! 

Es gibt sicher noch einiges an dem GUI zu verbessern und das Laden von Skripten ist leider sehr umständlich (dauert lange, wenn man mehrere Laden will, wäre schöner über iTunes, iCloud,…) ,aber erst mal meinen herzlichen Dank an den Entwickler!

I’d give it six stars if the language was more sophisticated! Even just having 2D arrays, or lists of strings would be great. Arguments for functions too! But still it’s brilliant 😍

Ooooh.. Customization of interface! Or 8x8 buttons with 8 knobs!!!

### ***** "Bewerten ist lästig..."
... mache ich deshalb auch ganz selten. Diese App ist aber (für mich) so saugut, dass ich mal wieder eine Bewertung abgeben muss. Für die programmier-aversen gibt es sicher viele Presets, aber dazu kann ich nichts sagen (da habe ich noch nicht mal nachgeschaut), denn wenn ich was brauche, skripte ich es mir mal schnell... der Preis für die App liegt inzwischen deutlich im negativen Bereich, weil ich mir viele andere Midi-Apps dadurch spare (und ich hab die App gerade mal eine Woche). Außerdem kann ich damit exotische Steuerungen machen, für die es gar keine Apps gibt. z.B. eine komplexe „automatische“ Oktav-Umschaltung meines Midi Basspedals in Abhänigkeit von gespielten Tonabständen in einem bestimmten Zeitfenster...ect.. 

klar, ein paar Kleinigkeiten kann man immer verbessern (das editieren mit dem iPad ist normal nicht sehr komfortabel). Aber Leute, das Ding ist der Hammer (für mich zumindest, der gerne ein bisschen programmiert). ich kann nur sagen: Danke! Die App war (trotz Preis) ein Geschenk für mich!

### ***** "Eine tolle App für Midi Musiker!"
Im englischen würde man sagen „Game Changer“! 

Bram Bos entwickelt seit jeher exzellente Apps für Musiker. Schätze, dies wird die ultimative Midi-Manipulations-App welche mit der Zeit immer mehr Möglichkeiten bieten wird. 

Entweder selbst nach Herzenslust programmieren oder die Community beobachten. Ich bin mir sicher das viele Scripts geteilt werden.

Eine sehr gute Anlaufstelle ist das Audiobus Forum wo der Entwickler selbst aktiv ist.
