Scammy behaviour, avoid
I have done their DNA test a while ago and recently bought another kit as a present for Xmas. Unbeknownst to me, this came with a free trial subscription which I didn’t want, which turned into a yearly subscription. I only realised when I saw the credit card charge and cancelled it straight away and got in touch with support to ask a refund, who said there was nothing they could do and subsequently completely ignored my emails. Stay away. Scammy behaviour.

Ancestry review
A great platform for delving into my ancestry with comprehensive DNA test results, networking from other potential relatives around the world and opens up a sense of belonging when much of my ancestry is hidden or lost.
Also have the free trial issue along with many other users
Only want to try the AI video generator nothing else. It wasn’t that good. Just looked like a bad after effect result manipulating a photo to make it motion. The trial shouldve had an option to ask users to see if they want to officially sign up after the trial or risk losing accessibility to the app than simply charging on users . These trial model really seem like a way to rip off people for the first year. I notice few users are experiencing the same disappointment… Tried the search. The results are just rubbish. If you have a Asian bloodline, the database is purely just for entertainment. I am not sure how it’s getting such a high review .
Easy to use and very proactive.
What a great system. I started by loading an old tree a relative started several years ago and there’s been a literal explosion of growth from the discoveries made and contact from other trees.
Beware the free trial
Really unhappy. Took money from my account after the free trial. I couldn't find a straightforward way to end the free trial, and there was no courtesy email or text before the free trial ended to allow me to opt out before the money was taken. Even with the free trial, information that I wanted to access, always came with the same message, you need to upgrade your account to access this information. I will not be trusting a service again with a free trial.
Grave concerns
I have some serious concerns about this App. It seems to be adding bogus finds’ to my family tree. Short little, so called new finds or Matches’ that when you click on, are actually rubbish links. Then asking for money to get further info. And what’s worse they are adding bogus pictures as well. Shocking!

It was not made clear to me that you had to be over 18 to see your own dna results im 17 and have a interest in my heritage so ordered a kit and did the test unbeknown to me that I wouldn’t be able to view the results my parents aren’t interested in it but gave consent to me to buy the test. I personally think it is stupid that people under 18 can’t view their OWN dna results
