No sharing of your physical personal ID documents. 

Access a wide range of federal, state and territory government online services with the myID app. One app to verify who you are, taking the hassle out of remembering different usernames and passwords. Once set up, you can enable your device’s biometrics security feature such as fingerprint or face for added security. This is to protect your identity and help prevent other people accessing your information. 

Your personal information won’t be shared without your permission – putting you in control. myID is accredited by the Australian Government Digital ID System which strictly controls how your identity data is collected, stored and used.

Update the app and get locked out of the ATO, if this is the future for accessing gov services you need to be a IT specialist just to work it out. Looking forward to spending hours on the phone to a robot. Digital id is voluntary unless you wanna access the government services which you have no other way of being accessed without a digital id with no other option - Fail.

Typical gov app- nothing works. Logs you out for an error every 2 seconds. Tells you your ID is wrong, finally works and then it still doesn’t help to do what it needs to do through a different gov app. How about actually using it before rolling it out and ensuring it actually works before wasting and frustrating everyone that needs to use this POS.

### *---- "Password for My ID is different From My gov Id"
My my id password works on the mobile app but doesn’t allow me to log in to my gov id on my laptop or connect my gov id to the Medicare express plus app. I can only log in via code from my id, when trying to log on manually to my gov id I pressed forgot my password as it was saying it was wrong. Then it gave me my three secret questions which I don’t remember all the answers to but the ones I know I got right still said it was wrong. I want to know how to change my secret questions. Then it told me I had to make a new account as I got everything wrong. I made a new account and still have the same issue with the passwords not being linked and I tried to relink my usi number and tax and it didn’t work. I hate this app so much, please fix it!

I tried uploading my details and I couldn’t do it. Each time it said something went wrong and logs me out. As soon as you log back in the option to upload the specific document (eg driver’s license) disappears. This is despite i reset my account.

This app asked for an upgrade after about 2 weeks of not working.

Could not phone support over Christmas shutdown. I got through today and was told to delete the old frozen app and reinstall it from scratch with new identity documents.

Oh, and to Callback on Monday because they were going home during my call. I will also almost certainly have problems. I need to call them back on Monday.

I can’t understand why I have secure banking and no problems Every once or twice a year I go through hours of pain, grief and calls just so I can lodge my BAS.

This is the worst piece of software written by the largest government department in Australia and it’s a total mess. No accountability or responsibility taken by anyone.

If I could rate zero then I would .

Spare me reliving the horror of the last 12 hours trying to get this app to talk to MyGov and vice versa. I am now locked out of MyGov for certain services eg Centrelink. It could take a week to rectify after having to go into Centrelink offices in person to start the unlock process. This is 2025! I do not intend to use this app at all in future if that is at all possible.

I tried at least 12 times to strengthen my id , but it not recognise my driver license on the app and when I called. They said to uninstall and install it again. But nothing helps.
