### ****- "Mostly happy!"
The good:
- Very easy to travel with, with the flex stand. 
- I have no comparison but the visual quality is fine.
- Connecting it to a new wifi is easy.
- We learned a lot from the history option: for example when my son was able to pickup his soother or when he started to get attached to his fluffy. I think this is the best feature ever. 
- It can pickup detailed sound well: I used to use the nanit to listen if he was still breathing. 

The bad:
- It has no option to only make sound when my son makes noise: we additionally have a babyphone that only turns on when there is a new sound. We did not have this in the first weeks and it turned us crazy as you can hear each mummble or tummble. 
- The white noise is not a nice sound in our opinion, we got a seperate machine for that.
- Might be our wifi but it can take long to load. Which can be annoying when you need to check in the middle of the night. 
- obviously it is expensive 
- We had to put tape on the red lights on the camera because he was very aware of them. 

In the end I am super happy we got it as we gained so much from it.

Normaal gesproken ben ik de laatste die de moeite neemt om een recensie te schrijven maar de Nanit app met babyfoon is echt het beste wat er is. Deze app verrast mij iedere dag weer. Ik raadt hem iedereen aan

It would be much more useful (1) to have the possibility to customize the position of the functions, I need to have the white noise icon on the first screen instead of the camera icon, many users comment on this need in common. (2) The volume bar should have control buttons to increase and decrease the volume at the ends of the bar (+ and - buttons), so we avoid suddenly raising the volume to a very high level in the middle of the night when we are taking care of the baby who is very sleepy and we usually use the screen with little brightness, that is a fact. (3) also this bar should be above the options and below the image, not on the bottom edge, when I try to close the app (dragging the window up) it has happened to me that I press a point on the bar and activate the volume to an extremely high level and the baby wakes up scared.

This is a must have. The new standing alert is really cool.

I only wish it had a way to automatic lower the white noise when he’s asleep. As recommend by doctors. 

Should be easy to update, just like the light you can click on turn off after 15 min. 

The sound should have a similar feature like lower volume after 15min when he’s asleep.

Have this product for 1,5 years and worked really great, loved the features. Unfortunately it was down graded this week after the update forcing you to pay a monthly fee to use the option to see how long your kid is sleeping and to look back at videos 48 hours back. So now it is just an overpriced baby monitor. Such a shame :(

### ***** "Best sleep I could have had with a baby"
My son moved to his room when he was almost 6 months… the fear of not having him with me was huge. With almost no delay, so good microphone, all the updates and advises,  Nanit made my sleep so good. I was hearing him breathing better from his room than from his crib (when he was in our bedroom).

He is almost three now and he was having a bit of fear of being alone in his room but I told him that I can always see him and that he can talk to me in real time … now he just looks at the camera and smiles … 

So I recommend it not just for babies but for toddlers too. 

P.S. The grandmothers are super happy to be able to see him with a click (especially the one that lives in another country than us) as there are multiple accounts that can see the camera activity.

Nanit is great but they keep changing the rules stripping down features of your paid subscription so you upgrade to a more expensive one. Unethical behavior

### ***** "Best baby investment ever"
We researched baby cams extensively before our daughter was born and decided to go for nanit. 2,5 years later and we still use it every day. It was worth every penny and we are still so happy with it. Not because we can monitor her extensively, but because we sleep more soundly because of it. It’s easy to take a peek on your phone. 
But also for moment where you wonder ‘how did this happen?’ Its easy to look at the recordings of the night (she took off her sleeping bag for example). 
Weekly sleep record helps you understand how your little one is sleeping and tips are helpful and professional advice. 
There are also now delightful features like memories and the daily pickups videos always make me smile. 
Yes it’s a lot of money, but it really is the best thing and really delivers on helping you as new parents in an already stressful and sometimes scary new phase of life.

### *---- "Please stop updating the app! It only gets worse every update!"
With every update, the app is getting worse:
Slower connection. Incorrect day/night time assignment. 

- Update Dec 10, 2020: still unable to share ‘memories’. Is anybody actually testing this app?

- Update nov 10: now I can’t even share images taken by hitting the camera-button anymore.
When in full-screen, it takes 5-15 seconds before there is video (router is 1 meter from my phone, 3 meters from the nanit).

- Update oct 8, kid is months now: still can’t export/share the memories, using the ‘share the news’ option exports something empty

- Update late september ‘20:
Connecting to the video stream now takes sognificantly longer than it used to.
My kid just turned 6 months. Added a nice photo to the memory. But then I can’t ‘Share the news’ anymore.
All the options in the share sheet do nothing. And why ithere no option to simply save to photos?

Overall great app, great camera, super happy. But this is a bit disappointing: getting me excited for feature that doesn’t work. 
Running latest iOS (non beta of course), latest version of nanit. Tried on both iPhone 8 and iPhone XS, same problem on both. 
Used to work previous months...
