Always crashing
Doesn’t matter how good an app is if it is constantly crashing and I can’t open the stupid thing. I have to delete and reinstall the app at least once a week. Natiowide needs to sort it out.

Prepaid credit cards are more feature packed than this app. Swipe back gesture doesn’t work! Can’t download or view bank statements. Can’t deposit cheques. There’s no dark mode. Can’t freeze online, telephone, chin&pay or swipe payments. You can only freeze contactless or the entire card. Can’t set contactless amount. There are no spending categories. Can’t change payee references.
Had to pay my Greek hotel 300 euros and was charged £7 by nationwide for doing so. Total ripoff. Other cards are free but I chose the nationwide one by mistake. If you holiday even once a year and want to use your debit card then it’s worth considering a newer bank. They can pay a couple percent more interest on any savings too. Shop around!
Not having an option for real-time push notification is a deal breaker. I will switch my current account only if they make their app more feature rich.
Why does this everytime it updates. Once again I am unable to get the app to update so cannot use it I spend time abroad working and now I cannot update ( now in Thailand for 3 months ). This stops me transferring using wise It’s unbelievable that a bank this size cannot even sort out the basics for online banking
What an awful app either crashes or states my accurate account info is not recognised. I suggest nobody throws their card reader away !
I can't believe that I need to use a card reader when sending an online payment. Completely inconvenient and I'll likely switch account at the earliest opportunity
I’ve just switched banks and the Nationwide app is dreadful by comparison to Halifax. It’s too old school- needing the card reader for transfers between own named accounts makes it really inconvenient. It’s not really ‘mobile’ unless you carry card reader with you everywhere. It feels like the system was designed for use on home computer and hasn’t been adapted adequately.
I love being with nationwide so helpful and always quick with transactions give fairer share payments and good interest rates.
So states can change refference when you do this it states error has occurred and won’t let you send payment unless you use the original refference. No spend notifications , payments show in the tomorrow section even when they are in your account already, very out dated needs a big update
