New Scientist International

I have been a subscriber for many years and am very happy to read the magazine online and to receive a paper edition. Your reports are from every scientific field imaginable and the reporters are a diverse bunch of humans. In addition, your events are always interesting and are presented in a less formal format than scientific conferences, which makes events more accessible and relatable. I hope that you continue producing such a valuable magazine and congratulations to your editors and your stellar staff of reporters on their brilliant work. My advice: Don’t ever be afraid to admit that you are human. By that I mean one of about eight billion other individuals with all their idiosyncrasies. If you make a mistake, acknowledge it promptly and move on. Erm, that’s it. Best wishes!

After I stopped my subscription I tried to read past issues which I had bought and which I can no longer access without paying again. Robbery or fraud?

It’s good but could be better if these two things were included: 1. Ability to tap an article name on the magazine cover to take you to the article. 2. if when you played the magazine on Bluetooth it didn’t default to previously played articles from an earlier issue.

I love new scientist. It provides me with all the latest science news, and explains it all in a comprehensive way.

Brilliant and interesting to read all these facts. I can’t think of anywhere else where I could do this. I find it fascinating!!

It’s difficult to find the “search” button and the search function doesn’t work very well.

Still no real bookmark capabilities across device or online account. Also there is a very, very obvious error in bookmark management (removing) - classic case I suspect of the developer not understanding offset indices properly or whatever scheme was coded for. Ridiculously frustrating and contemptible lack of investment given the price tag. Doesn't help more 'opinion' is leaking out into the articles that are meant to be fact based, science and scientist based not author point scoring and profile marketing based.

I retired at 78 and the income became critical. So NS had to be sacrificed. Now my wife has taken pity on my loss and on my 80 birthday. So now I am fully up ready running again. Yes!!!
