Zdziwiłam się. Nie da sie otworzyć artykułu dla subskrybentów (i zresztą żadnego innego) z Safari w apce po zasubskrybowaniu przez AppStore'a. Aplikacja nie ma tych samych działów tematycznych, co czasopismo czytane przez www. Dla mnie wobec tego taka subskrypcja nie ma sensu, tzn. nie za tę wygórowaną cenę. Znalazłam w New Scientist FAQ: "Unfortunately, subscriptions to the digital edition from iTunes, Google Play or Zinio do rain do not include full access to newscientist.com" (część odpowiedzi na pytanie "How do I get unlimited online access?"). Dlatego dla mnie to jest jedna gwiazdka: aplikacja New Scientist nie jest tym, czym de facto jest New Scientist. To bardziej wygląda na czytnik numerów archiwalnych i jakiegoś kontentu zaaranżowanego na potrzeby aplikacji. No więc nie, nie za tę cenę. (Dlaczego nie zasubskrybować przez www? Wolę płacić w złotówkach a subskrypcjami zarządzać z poziomu AppStore’a).
Nareszcie!!!
Nareszcie mój ulubiony NewScientist w wersji na iPada i w dodatku ma subskrypcję zintegrowaną ze stroną a więc bardzo atrakcyjną cenowo!
Gorąco polecam, moim zdaniem, najlepszy periodyku popularnonaukowy!

Past issues no longer available
After I stopped my subscription I tried to read past issues which I had bought and which I can no longer access without paying again. Robbery or fraud?
Improvements
It’s good but could be better if these two things were included:
1. Ability to tap an article name on the magazine cover to take you to the article.
2. if when you played the magazine on Bluetooth it didn’t default to previously played articles from an earlier issue.

I love new scientist. It provides me with all the latest science news, and explains it all in a comprehensive way.

Brilliant and interesting to read all these facts. I can’t think of anywhere else where I could do this. I find it fascinating!!
Pretty good app with one main issue for me
It’s difficult to find the “search” button and the search function doesn’t work very well.
Uninvested
Still no real bookmark capabilities across device or online account.
Also there is a very, very obvious error in bookmark management (removing) - classic case I suspect of the developer not understanding offset indices
properly or whatever scheme was coded for.
Ridiculously frustrating and contemptible lack of investment given the price tag. Doesn't help more 'opinion' is leaking out into the articles that are meant to be fact based, science and scientist based not author point scoring and profile marketing based.
