And that’s not always bad.

Nexomon is a sequel to Micromon, with several references to the game. In my opinion Micromon is better, go play that first.

Nexomon has good graphics, some interesting graphical quirks and an often intriguing storyline, but it’s not so much an rpg as it is a capture quest, completionist-ordeal. It’s long, in the beginning, takes a while to get into and so on; 2 hours in you’ll think it’s fun, 6 hours you’re getting bored, 10-14 hours you’re getting challenged and 14-20 hours you’re at the final boss of the first part. That said, those middle hours can be rather annoying, or the entire first 20 hours alone. But, when you do get to the end of the first part it’s really fun. That said, all of the second part is equally, if not more fun. Of course, wrapping up with an elaborate challenge.

This isn’t an RPG for new-comers, but for kids who don’t care of dialogue too much it does appeal in other fields; and in that sense it’s also educational, to some degree. 
    However, it is an incredibly entertaining game. Get to the second part; ”Netherworld”, and you’ll see.

Issue:
  Lore, primarily. It’s elaborate – no issues there – but it’s straight-to-the-point with a lack of interactables and side-notes, side-quests. This applies mainly to the first part of the game.

If you’re a Pokémon fanatic or someone looking for a reasonable RPG for your iDevice this is a good game. Micromon is better though, start with that.

I’d also recommend Zenonia 3, if it’s still around.

Don’t hesitate to play this. It’s time-consuming, but worth it.

This will be a long one.
This game is very awesome and well made, totally worth the price. This is exactly like the classic pokemon games, it’s like “copy pasted” indeed (except the monsters ofc). This gives me so much nostalgia and I’ve spent so many hours playing. It really awakens my inner child again :). I still haven’t tried the online battle features, but I bet it’s something interesting. And I haven’t experienced any bugs or problems so far, it’s very fluently.

My criticism may sound a bit fastidious. My first one is about the lack of creativity, ideas and mostly in-game experience. Everything is just potions and monsters. You will never find stuff like secret notes, hidden stories or quests or any kind of side story. In the classic pokemon game you learned, for example, one of your Pokemon to swim which gave you access to find hidden caves and such, and you had to go back to previous towns to reach something you couldn’t before. You know, adventure and excitement! Or you could find hidden notes in bookshelves to read interesting information and stories. You also had rivals with their own stories etc, and you could find very rare Pokemon’s in hidden places.  
In Nexomon there is nothing like that. You just go town to town and beat the leaders, and that’s all. This makes it really drab and less exciting. This makes it look so typically mobile-game-ish which seems so unprofessional and easy-made. I get the “fast money” feeling from mobile games. 

BUT maybe I’m to greedy. It’s maybe impossible to make a mobile game too detailed and big. So, as a mobile game, this game is so awesome, and I think this game still deserves five stars (if you think about the mobile game development).

Oh, and one more thing. The creatures (Nexomons) looks so dorky, childish and “cartoon-like”. I know this game is made for kids, but come on. Too much Disney here. Even adult enjoys games 😊❤️.

If you , like me, have always wanted a Pokemon-esque RPG game for the iPhone, this is definently for you! It's not like some "monster capture" that you can already find on the App Store, this is a full fledged game with routes and towns to explore, lots of monsters to capture and evolve as well. If you have ever played Micromon this will feel very familiar. Great visuals and gameplay, absolutely worth the price !

It's a great app but sometimes it's hard to catch a nexomon without paying for the golden ones. You typically need to pay if you want to get better nexomons. I don't think the graphics is bad but not really good either... But I like the story tho. Sad that u need to pay.
